I went with The Tailor Pros because they were recommended by the place that I got my wedding dress from. I only really dealt with Jasmine- she was dismissive and passive aggressive towards me during each appointment.
I picked up my wedding dress today and the cuts to the bottom weren’t even, it just looked like it was a sloppy cut, I didn’t mention it because I was already very uncomfortable and figured no one would notice hopefully. The bustle wasn’t pulled up enough in the back, there was still about 6-8 inches of the back of my dress dragging on the ground. When I asked Jasmine if bustled dresses still drag in the back generally she said “…. They can?” Like I was annoying her. Overall it was just an uncomfortable interaction- but after asking for it to be fixed before I left- she did but I received some attitude and frustration from Jasmine during the process.
Before I brought my dress in, I got a quote over the phone that said wedding dress alterations range from $200-500 depending on how much work was needed and that the most labor intensive dresses are towards the $500 mark, but most don’t come close. My dress was a simple gown, strapless, tight on top and flowy from my hips down, and it only needed to be brought in a small amount, some length taken off & the bustle. I almost threw up when the total cost was $525 for the alterations. More than 1/3 the cost of my dress. I can’t help but feel wronged and I will not return nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know. I’m pretty easy going and I try to not complain but even my two friends that were with me for these appointments were also shocked at...
Read moreI brought my quilt into Tailor Pro's to have it cleaned. I explained that my dog had vomitted on it and I was able to remove the stain but I was not able to remove the very bad odor. I mentioned that there was a small hole which I had repaired in the quilt, but otherwise the quilt was in excellent condition. Jaysmin took the quilt and handed me a slip and told me that it would be ready Thursday. When I went back to pick up the quilt, I was surprised to see that the color was almost totally washed out and it no longer matched my pillows, curtains and dust ruffle. Jaysmin was very nice, apologized but also told me that she sent the quilt to another business to be cleaned. I went back later that day with a placemat of the same material and she agreed that the color was not at all the same I told her that I would have to purchase another quilt. She told me to let her know what cost and she would compensate me 50%. I left and ordered a new quilt for 192.00. Today I returned and explained that I did not feel that 50% was reasonable and that I would like 80% and she said that the person who actually cleaned the quilt said that I should not get anything because that is what happens when you clean something multiple times in order to get the odor out. Jaysmin then handed me a check for 100.00 and I left. Needless to say, I WILL NOT go back again, very bad...
Read moreNot sure what happened since my first 2 visits. I was pleased with my first 2 items I had altered here. This time it was my wedding dress. My initial fitting went well, I realized I wanted the dress hemmed to the floor.. I assumed they would know to keep the back longer, as its a wedding gown.. my dress was cut so it was significantly higher in the BACK than in the front.. I already had a problem with another local seamstress so I was very upset. I went back to explain there might have been a miscommunication and was told on 2 separate occasions that it was in my head, that it only looked longer because I was looking down while wearing it (as if I didn't look at it while hanging up, standing various positions, etc...) so sad I felt as if I was gaslit by another woman... I know how to sew, and wanted to alter my dress in the beginning but had no trust in myself to do it... well I ended up fixing my dress and its so beautiful! Blessing in disguise i am more confident in my abilities and will never give someone else myclothing to be...
