Mattress Firm Outlet - North Monroe Street — Hotel in Tallahassee

Glad to be the first reviewer. I saw this new store from the beginning of its construction, so I know they haven't been open for too long. I went there like a week ago looking for a non too expensive matress. The manager (I can't remember his name, but he was the only one on that store) welcomed us to Matress Firm and showed us a couple options. Then we applied for financial, they have 3 different companies (one of them 0% interest) so you'll be most likely approved. He did all the paperwork for us. As I'm from outside of the States I didn't know if my bed was 'twin' or 'queen' so I had to return home and check it out. When I returned he finished everything real quick and told us where the matress was. We could not pick it up from the Governor Square store so we decided to wait until it was shipped to the N Monroe St. It was supposed to arrive in like 5 days but we got it only 2 days later. When I was ready to lift it and take it to the car, he did all that for me and strapped it to the top of my car (it was hard to un-strap so he did a very good job). I went into the North Monroe Street Location on Sunday, April 22nd around 3pm. When I entered the store, one of the salesmen was sitting on a bed, and the other was at the desk eating a bag of potato chips. I proceeded to tell one of them exactly what I was looking for, and my price range. I felt he was rude with his attitude. He showed me a few beds you had on clearance, which none of those I wanted, then he told me about a bed that was on clearance that was pre owned, and when I asked if he also had the box spring in stock for it, he said “damn, you want a box spring and mattress for that price?” So then I asked him to please look up my account, and tell me what I paid for, for the other 2 queen mattresses I bought, and I would determine if I wanted it, based upon that information. He got upset, and said that I was getting a better deal on a pre owned bed, but I did not want a pre owned bed when I went into the store. And the other salesmen sat there the entire time, chopping on his potato chips, staring at us. So I decided to leave, not purchase a bed from them. Horrible...

We purchased what we thought was a new mattress that was on “clearance”. We were never told that “clearance” means pre-owned, but of course it was on the invoice we received after we paid which we were never shown beforehand either. We thought we were getting a deal from the “Black Friday now” sale. Now we have spent over $4k for a used bed that still has dog fur on it. We were told it was sanitized twice, but did not understand that it meant it was used. We just thought it was a normal procedure. We still might have bought the used bed or a different bed, but it should be made clear before we made the purchase that it can not be refunded. If someone doesn’t contact me to do a return or exchange then we will be disputing it with our card company. We are currently waiting on a call back. We will also look into reporting this on BBB if this cannot...
