If you are looking for something small and quaint, this is the place for you. I booked our stay via Hotels.com. Parking: Plenty AND it's free! General Area/Front Desk: Check in was a breeze. But, I think I would have been frustrated if we would have arrived later as nobody is at the front all of the time, you have to call. It wasn't a big deal for us as we didn't need anything. I absolutely fell in love with simplistic yet welcoming scenes inside . The general areas/niches were tastefully decorated with wine themed wall decor and the cutest sofa tables, credenzas, accent tables and leather chairs. The Room: The room was spacious. King bed, fireplace, side tables, small fridge, and dresser. I can't comment on the bed because it doesn't matter where I stay, I'm never comfortable in anything other than my own bed. The closet was small and did not have enough hangers. The bathroom was large but a little odd in how it was designed. There were two sinks, a jacuzzi tub (which we didn't use, I stay away from them as I think they are a petri dish of stuff I don't want to know about), a toilet and a shower. One thing I would have changed about the layout is put the toilet behind a door and place a hanger next to the shower so there is a place to hang your towel. The shower could have used a thorough cleaning on the ceiling as you could see mold beginning to form. It looked like someone new at painting had painted the bathroom...you could see their mistakes, it was pretty obvious. The balcony had a table and two chairs which was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. As prior reviewers have stated, the walls are a little thin...now and again I could hear noises from the room next to us. I feel bad for the the people next to us, they probably heard my hubby snoring most of the night! But heck, after a few glasses of wine, I didn't hear a thing! Breakfast: Service was amazing! The area was clean and the food was good too. We visited in April so we sat inside. If you can, sit outside. It increases the ambiance and maybe you will catch a hot air balloon or two taking off. My only recommendation to the kitchen, add gluten free options. Wine Tasting: Well, we were the only ones there at 10 am, which was fun. We completely forgot about our free glass until we came home! Maybe I can collect on it another day. The wines were good, but we definitely need to go back because I don't think my taste buds were operational at 10 am! Anniversary: This little trip was for our 20 year anniversary. I ordered a basket along with some decorative touches. This included 2 rose pillows, heart decor on the bed and three battery operated lights. The cutest part - the front desk calling me to see when we were arriving to make sure the champagne was chilled. Oh and I didn't pick up because I thought it was a scam call. Nevertheless, we were welcomed by a chilled bottle of champagne to start our adventure! So, if this place was so amazing, why the 4? Well, the mold on the ceiling really freaked me out. It tells me the cleaning staff is not paying attention to detail. Then, the schlepping of our luggage up the stairs. Granted, it was only 14 steps, but when you have packed for a week (clothing for warm and cold temperatures so suitcases were heavier then normal) it kinda puts a damper on day 1. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, it's close to the other wineries, easy on the wallet and we Ubered everywhere we went. I can't wait to stop again when the grapes have ripened! Check...
Read moreWe stayed at The Inn At Churon Winery between 10/14-10/16/2023. This was the place my daughter and son in law chose for their wedding, and there’s no doubt their views are amazing. This, along with spacious rooms and courteous staff, is what scored the 1 star. ||Unfortunately, our stay was accompanied by great aggravation due to being bitten at night by what I feared were bed bugs, but the staff thought were fleas left in the room/ bed by one (or multiple) previous stays of guests with dogs - and due to inappropriate responses and interactions with members of the management. The responses ranged from broken promises (among them: “the manager on duty will call you when he comes in” on the first morning when I reported the bites… “a refund will be given at checkout time”… then at checkout: “the manager’s manager will email you and process a refund”… - none of which happened) to an attitude of “no big deal” from managers I spoke with, lack of responsiveness to emails sent by me a week after checking out (since no-one contacted me in any way… ), to finally receiving response emails from the front desk manager that contained distorted facts, and ending with a ridiculous “gift card” offered by the general manager, three weeks after our checkout. The gift card was offered after he first argued with me that a compensation would not be necessary since “we got a discount on the room” (that was true - we did get a 10% discounted room price, but that was the group rate they offered to my daughter for 24 rooms that we filled out with our event - not a discount meant to express the fact they have pests that bite the guests!)||I refused the gift card, even without confirming that it was, as I suspect, for a future stay...||As of today, four weeks after I checked out, the bites are still slightly visible. Which makes me suspect these were, after all, bed bug bites, which can take that long to completely disappear.||||Beside this very unpleasant and aggravating incident, the rooms are very outdated. The albeit elegant bathrooms have corroded shower heads, it's impossible to adjust the water temperature and pressure of the shower (you can only adjust one or the other), the A/C is extremely loud (probably due to being old) and more. The joke circulating the morning after the wedding among our guests was: “It seems they got the coffee machines handed down from Super 8 when Super 8 upgraded theirs”!!||At $315/ $245 room rate (Saturday/ Sunday rate), one would expect more care put into guests comfort, updating the rooms - not to mention health concerns and how to respond to an issue like the one we experienced.||||Bottom line: if you’re there for a wedding and you’re in the bridal party, you don’t have much choice. But if you’re a guest, you’re probably better off staying at a decent and much more reasonably priced hotel or motel in Temecula, and just driving to and from the wedding.||||I will certainly not stay there again as a guest - not even if I have a “gift...

I took my wife to the Inn at Churron for a weekend birthday getaway. The price was $750 (including taxes) for a two nights' stay in room 103. It's set in the beautiful Temecula winery region and sits upon a hill with a beautiful view of the valley. The main lobby is grand. The check in staff were very polite and helpful. We were given a room on the first floor with a patio that leads onto the grounds. The room was charming and clean with a beautiful bathroom. We spent the warm night sipping drinks on the patio and taking in the view. I was really happy that my wife and I could spend a relaxing weekend away for her birthday. We turned on the A/C to cool the room down and found the A/C is very loud and there is a rattle in the ducting. It's so loud that it wakes you from your sleep. When the A/c shuts off, you can hear the high-pitched buzzing noise the refrigerator makes when it's running. This again kept us awake. The bed was a large king size bed, but it was rock-hard and lumpy. My wife barely slept 1 or 2 hours and I couldn't sleep at all. My hopes for a relaxing weekend were ruined by our inability to sleep. We would have left in the middle of the night; however, they have no staff on duty until 8 am. On our first night, we had our car packed and ready to leave by 4 am. We couldn't wait to get back home to get some sleep. At 8 am, I promptly checked out and explained our dissatisfaction to the clerk. I was told that the manager, "MAY reach out to you". Not only was I billed for both nights, but I also found an additional unspecified $100 charge on my credit card from the Inn. All in all, The Inn at Churron winery has great potential to be an amazing getaway, but falls very short for actually providing a restful night sleep.
PROS:
CONS:
CONCLUSION: If ambiance and cleanliness were enough, this place would be worth every penny; however, the inability to sleep due to an uncomfortable bed and distracting noises made this place fall very short of a peaceful weekend. Next time I'll spend a little more and get a restful night's sleep at a...
