First and foremost, the desk attendant was fantastic!!!
Then down hill FAST.
And if youâre flying the American flag, fly a new one thatâs not ripped apart from neglect.
Read reviews before staying anywhere.
NEVER, EVER go by the 3rd party pictures. Your best real pics are from reviewers like us. Too funny how a place can go from great to a slum in a second!
Management NEVER comp or refund in my experience.
Corporate DOES NOT nor NEVER care either in my experience.
Always check the rooms before committing.
Next time we venture out weâre bringing an ozone generator. We can leave it running for 30 minutes as we go get dinner.
I donât know if some reviewers are getting compensated, but where does the BS stop? To be fair with this review, and fair to management, weâll HAVE to stay here when we make this trip again. Then, if itâs still bad i wonât feel bad with my one star and to give a totally honest reflection if management is trying to improve.
Then it was all downhill from there.
Elevators stopped working. We were several floors up. Fortunately we had already took our stuff up before the breakdown. It was fixed the next day for our checking out though.
Overall the room âseemedâ nice BUT had this peculiar musty odor that didnât go away until I fell asleep. Carpeting odors I assume.
There were no bed bugs. A/C unit never shut off or even came to temp. The filter was clean however as I did check it to see where that nasty musty odor was coming from.
A little TLC could have brought my rating to 5 stars in a second. Little things, like the elevator controlsâŚone elevator had the one side controls taped over, the other elevator had a note that âif youâre going to the 3rd floor, use the right side controls otherwise all others can use this sideâ. HUH???
Little things, like the arrows for the elevatorsâŚno lights lighting up and smashed backings that attach to the walls.
Little thingsâŚlike get rid of those musty carpets.
Little thingsâŚlike butter and cream cheese. The breakfast area seemed âcleanâ until further inspection revealed disorganized packing of empty napkin dispensers and an open package of vanity fair napkins open for everyone to touch.
The waffle area had spills here and there from previous diners. The âcleaning manâ, âlookedâ as though he was tidying up but was only moving stuff from here to there to look busy.
Being in the business for more years than there is to count I can tell âbusy lookingâ people.
Breakfast? How can you offer bagels, have a toaster and offer NO butter or cream cheese? The biscuits were hard as rocks. No cream for the coffee (which actually wasnât too bad). You were offered powdered cream. YAY(not)
âHard-boiled eggs should not be left out at room temperature for more than two hours, and for only one hour if the temperature is above 90°F. After that, they are no longer considered safe to eat.âThis statement was copied from a quick search to double check my integrity. This place is an accident waiting to happen.
My wife teaches food safety and when she saw the eggs on the counter, she looked at the biscuits and sausage gravy, looked at me and said âyeahâŚ.NO.â
Like other reviewers said, âplace looks like itâs from a horror movieâ or from a âSerbian war sceneâ.
Choose your battles, and you have been forewarned.
This place could be a sleeper if management came back to earth. Where other cultures have a certain lifestyle, we should not be forced to live in theirs ESPECIALLY if one is PAYING for it. We are definitely marking this place down as one to avoid. I guess itâs âokâ for emergency sleep spot. Maybe Iâll give it a 2 star what...
Read moreTo say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Only 1 elevator was working, going from lobby up was fine, but when you wanted to go back to lobby, for example, to complain, you had to ride to the 6th floor first, despite pushing the down button, elevator had a paper sign over half the buttons (see photos) and the other side where the buttons were active was loose and wobbly. (The elevator and hallways were quite dirty) We arrived in our rooms and despite smelling a little musty, they seemed fine and we were satisfied. I then ran the tub for a bath. The water pressure was quite low and the water only lukewarm. After a few minutes the water then had floating black particles. Tons of them. (see photos) (I then used the stairway, to avoid the long elevator ride, and found the stairwell to be filthy, the handrail was caked in greasy black goo.) We complained at the front desk and were moved to a different room on a different floor. After running the water in the new room, I discovered the water was cold, no hot, and there was black sludge coming from the tap there too. I tried to call my husband to tell him not to pack up, but the telephone was not working. Also one of the facecloth had stains or make up on it. The front desk, by this time, also had a manager to whom we relayed our problems and showed our photos to. She advised running the water for a long time. We asked for a discount, since we couldnât use the water Manager advised the credit cards were already charged and she could do nothing. With further push, she said sheâd speak to someone else and let us know what she could do for our inconvenience. I asked how she would advise us, and she said sheâd phone our rooms, I reminded her that our phones were not working. She said we should check in the morning when we were checking out. She ultimately agreed to give us bottles of water so we could brush our teeth as we were concerned of the quality of the water. That morning at 7am when it came time to eat breakfast, we were very worried, not trusting that the water used to clean the dishes and make the coffee would be safe for us to consume. We took a peek in the breakfast area and saw a long crawling bug in the clear plastic container that housed bagels and other bread products. We decided to pass on the breakfast, no longer trusting our health to their cleanliness. We checked with the front desk and the clerk politely informed us that there was no note and nothing had been done about our bills. He advised the manager we had spoken to was not in at that time, if we wanted to wait. We did not. So once again to recap: No ability to shower or bathe or clean our teeth. Move rooms only to discover the same issues, only worse and dirty. Second room - tub taps were super rusty and the plug was all corrodes and chalky white with possibly soap scum and dirty on the counter in bathroom. Only 1 working elevator and even that was not working correctly. Filthy stairwells and handrails. Obvious construction around the hotel with dirty floors and construction debris all over. After writing back and forth with Wyndham hotels, we were not offered a partial refund or free night, as we requested, but were offered some "wyndham points", not even enough to get us to re-try...
Read moreAlrighty, let's cut to the chase. Don't stay here. Especially if you have children! Please don't give them your business until they get their crap together.
I am not a picky or finnicky person when it comes to cleanliness. I've stayed in motels, hotels, lodges, cabins, you name it. I've slept in a motel in California that's refused to clean out very large cockroaches from their INDOOR light fixtures.
This is the second worst place I have ever stayed in. They don't clean here đŹ
Right away, I could tell they didn't clean the room to even BARE MINIMUM standards. The room smelled like cat pee upon first walking in, and the stink was at its worst right next to the AC unit. The light switch in the hall was covered in a dirt and dust film. When I opened the bathroom, I let my hopes up (stupidly), because the bathroom smelled like cleaner... until I turned the lights on. Then I saw the light switch...and the hair dryer....and then the rest of the bathroom. It was disgusting. The shower curtain had dark stains, the shower itself had what I'm pretty sure was mold growing in the crevices, the BATHROOM FLOORS weren't even swept, it was horrible. I'm pretty sure the cleaning staff just sprayed some cleaner in the room, maaaybe wiped down the counter and said "good enough". The pictures don't accurately show just HOW DIRTY the room was, but that's what I get for cheaping out on my phone. Our apartment had a major water issue the day of and before we left home, so we couldn't shower before heading out. I was looking forward to a nice shower when we arrived, but obviously when we saw the room, we decided STRONGLY against it, because yiiiiiikes!!
We couldn't switch rooms either because we had been traveling all day and by the time we arrived, we had to go to bed pretty much immediately or else we wouldn't have made it to our destination on time. My husband was also completely exhausted and didn't have the energy to deal with switching rooms. I'm also nearly 100% sure that switching rooms wouldn't have fixed the issue, as this kind of filthiness doesn't result from just "forgetting" to clean a room. This was pure laziness. I feel sorry for the mom and her kid who stayed down the hall from us, I hope, at the very least, her room didn't smell completely disgusting. I feel sick after staying here.
Edit for clarity: Pictured are the bathroom floors, shower curtain, shower, light switch and hair dryer in the bathroom, light switch by the door, and the AC, which isn't even sealed properly and has some wires hanging out. There were also poorly filled holes everywhere. I didn't even bother taking more pictures. I just wanted to get the...
