Overall: not worth the money. The headboards were peeling, paint? Vinyl? I still haven't figured it out. There was rust in a few places in the bathroom. The tissue box was perched on the tissue box holder, rather than in it. There was that slimey, pink bacteria, that accumulates when wet areas are not cleaned & droed properly, on the shower head. The shower head had a leak that sprayed water over the shower curtain, wetting the floor, causing a very slippery floor when one steps out of the shower. There was no bath mat in the tub, making it very slippery. I will say there were some kind of antislip strip on the tub, but they were just as slippery as the tub itself. Four of the six pillows were hard & lumpy. The carpeting was dirty and dingy. It was quite evident that the mini refrigerator was not part of the room, as it was numbered with house/building address numbers & just sitting on the room floor, out in the open rather than under a counter or hidden in a cabinet as I usiisee in hotels. The room linenings were very dingy. The climate control in the room was great. The person I dealt with at the front desk when we checked in was very nice. She was very accommodating. The people who clean the room not so much. Asking for the garbage to be picked up was a problem apparently. Our trash cans were overflowing for 2 days. It was not until we were there three full days that they emptied them. In order to get refilled on the toilet paper, we had to get it from the front desk... "we no service rooms every day... no more" was the response I got when I asked when the room would be serviced.
The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. They serve powdered scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, porridge, various breads/pastries, apples, bananas, belgian waffles (the apple cinnamon ones were soooooo good!), & some kind of meat. The juices were very good. They were not watered down and they were nicely chilled. They have a nice assortment of teas and the coffee is okay. I was sad to see that the coffee and hot water did not stay (topped off) hot throughout the day into the night. It would have been lovely to have a cup of hot cocoa sitting outside or watching a movie.
The pool was nice as was the small gym.
Location was ok. It was close to the interstate which made travel a bit easier. There are no real markings for the entrance driveway off the main road.Which made it a little difficult to find. It also lacks street lighting by that entrance, which again makes it a little harder to find. If the entrance driveway was marked or there were some lighting.I would have been given the location four stars.
I am very surprised that I Hampton Inn would have such a...
Read moreAs a diamond hhonors member, I stay at a lot of Hampton/Hilton hotels, and this was by-far one of the worst stays. Starting with check-in, I asked for a room on the top floor, away from the elevator so so that I may have quite time for rest as I am in town for work. The lady at the desk said "no, you should have requested that when you booked the room." I didn't book the room, the business travel agent did, and being a diamond level member, I am eligible for on-the-spot upgrades even if it's just to a different floor... But instead, I was given a room on the second floor right across from the elevator so I got to hear the chatter of people in & out of the elevator. Whoever was in the room above me had a very heavy step and apparently insomnia because they paced, back and forth, all night long. That's the very reason I asked for a top floor room. Next, no refrigerator in the room. All hotels have refrigerators in the rooms nowadays. I can't bring a 6-pack back or have a cold bottle of sweet tea...?? OK, so I'm heading out to work in the morning, a bit too late to get breakfast, but I noticed they had some sweet tea in the little shop by the desk. $4.00?!?! For Heavens sake, the same bottle is less than $1 at the grocery store, $2 at the convenience stores, and the airports gouge the price to $3...... Forget it, I'll get some milk.. That was empty too. When checking out, I hadn't had a decent night's sleep in three nights, I tried to share the experience with "Latoya" at the front desk, she immediately twisted it around to make it all my fault. Then started accusing me of disrespecting her... I, as the diamond level paying customer, am the one who received no respect, rest or satisfaction during my stay. I know some of the issues were happenstance, but the response was not I am accustomed to in any other Hampton Inn. I am very disappointed with this hotel and the treatment I received. Iwon't stay here again. There are other hotels...
Read moreLet's just say that in my 15+ years of traveling, this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It all started with a subpar check in to a decent but dated lobby. I began walking down the corridor to peeling wallpaper and garbage outside guest rooms as if there was no housekeeping at all.||I opened the door to my room and was immediately hit with the smell of wet rotting garbage. Turned on the lights to see dingy furniture with stains and crusty carpet. Went to close the black out shades that have holes in them only to step on wet carpet. ||Took a shower and the water pressure was poor. Instead of the standard bulk shower amenities, I ended up with miniature bottles ( 2 conditioners, no soap or shampoo). Went to towell off and the towels are no longer white, they have a yellow dingy color and are not soft.||Slid in to bed to notice that the headboard is peeling and torn. Even more, the top cover is also yellowish, sheets are yellowish and dont fit the bed, and the mattress is collapsed on one side ||More surprises to come; there's a half eaten piece of pizza between the bed and night stand.||I angrily got dressed and went to the desk to talk to an associate and stood for 10 minutes. I made the doors open and close to see if someone would come but no one did so I called the hotel, finally someone came out. I.told him that I was extremely upset about my room, the smell, and cleanliness. He said all the rooms are the same. I asked him to shorten my stay from 4 nights to 1 night and said ok. No apology, no resolution, no offer to switch me to another room.||I refuse to spend another night here. I am surprised this hotel is still a Hilton. The owners obviously dont care. Health safety!||Will sleep in my clothes tonight and check out tomorrow. Won't risk having breakfast with what I've seen so far!!||DO NOT STAY HERE, there are other Hilton choices...
