Overall: not worth the money. The headboards were peeling, paint? Vinyl? I still haven't figured it out. There was rust in a few places in the bathroom. The tissue box was perched on the tissue box holder, rather than in it. There was that slimey, pink bacteria, that accumulates when wet areas are not cleaned & droed properly, on the shower head. The shower head had a leak that sprayed water over the shower curtain, wetting the floor, causing a very slippery floor when one steps out of the shower. There was no bath mat in the tub, making it very slippery. I will say there were some kind of antislip strip on the tub, but they were just as slippery as the tub itself. Four of the six pillows were hard & lumpy. The carpeting was dirty and dingy. It was quite evident that the mini refrigerator was not part of the room, as it was numbered with house/building address numbers & just sitting on the room floor, out in the open rather than under a counter or hidden in a cabinet as I usiisee in hotels. The room linenings were very dingy. The climate control in the room was great. The person I dealt with at the front desk when we checked in was very nice. She was very accommodating. The people who clean the room not so much. Asking for the garbage to be picked up was a problem apparently. Our trash cans were overflowing for 2 days. It was not until we were there three full days that they emptied them. In order to get refilled on the toilet paper, we had to get it from the front desk... "we no service rooms every day... no more" was the response I got when I asked when the room would be serviced.

The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. They serve powdered scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, porridge, various breads/pastries, apples, bananas, belgian waffles (the apple cinnamon ones were soooooo good!), & some kind of meat. The juices were very good. They were not watered down and they were nicely chilled. They have a nice assortment of teas and the coffee is okay. I was sad to see that the coffee and hot water did not stay (topped off) hot throughout the day into the night. It would have been lovely to have a cup of hot cocoa sitting outside or watching a movie.

The pool was nice as was the small gym.

Location was ok. It was close to the interstate which made travel a bit easier. There are no real markings for the entrance driveway off the main road.Which made it a little difficult to find. It also lacks street lighting by that entrance, which again makes it a little harder to find. If the entrance driveway was marked or there were some lighting.I would have been given the location four stars.

I am very surprised that I Hampton Inn would have such a...

As a diamond hhonors member, I stay at a lot of Hampton/Hilton hotels, and this was by-far one of the worst stays. Starting with check-in, I asked for a room on the top floor, away from the elevator so so that I may have quite time for rest as I am in town for work. The lady at the desk said "no, you should have requested that when you booked the room." I didn't book the room, the business travel agent did, and being a diamond level member, I am eligible for on-the-spot upgrades even if it's just to a different floor... But instead, I was given a room on the second floor right across from the elevator so I got to hear the chatter of people in & out of the elevator. Whoever was in the room above me had a very heavy step and apparently insomnia because they paced, back and forth, all night long. That's the very reason I asked for a top floor room. Next, no refrigerator in the room. All hotels have refrigerators in the rooms nowadays. I can't bring a 6-pack back or have a cold bottle of sweet tea...?? OK, so I'm heading out to work in the morning, a bit too late to get breakfast, but I noticed they had some sweet tea in the little shop by the desk. $4.00?!?! For Heavens sake, the same bottle is less than $1 at the grocery store, $2 at the convenience stores, and the airports gouge the price to $3...... Forget it, I'll get some milk.. That was empty too. When checking out, I hadn't had a decent night's sleep in three nights, I tried to share the experience with "Latoya" at the front desk, she immediately twisted it around to make it all my fault. Then started accusing me of disrespecting her... I, as the diamond level paying customer, am the one who received no respect, rest or satisfaction during my stay. I know some of the issues were happenstance, but the response was not I am accustomed to in any other Hampton Inn. I am very disappointed with this hotel and the treatment I received. Iwon't stay here again. There are other hotels...

Let's just say that in my 15+ years of traveling, this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It all started with a subpar check in to a decent but dated lobby. I began walking down the corridor to peeling wallpaper and garbage outside guest rooms as if there was no housekeeping at all.||I opened the door to my room and was immediately hit with the smell of wet rotting garbage. Turned on the lights to see dingy furniture with stains and crusty carpet. Went to close the black out shades that have holes in them only to step on wet carpet. ||Took a shower and the water pressure was poor. Instead of the standard bulk shower amenities, I ended up with miniature bottles ( 2 conditioners, no soap or shampoo). Went to towell off and the towels are no longer white, they have a yellow dingy color and are not soft.||Slid in to bed to notice that the headboard is peeling and torn. Even more, the top cover is also yellowish, sheets are yellowish and dont fit the bed, and the mattress is collapsed on one side ||More surprises to come; there's a half eaten piece of pizza between the bed and night stand.||I angrily got dressed and went to the desk to talk to an associate and stood for 10 minutes. I made the doors open and close to see if someone would come but no one did so I called the hotel, finally someone came out. I.told him that I was extremely upset about my room, the smell, and cleanliness. He said all the rooms are the same. I asked him to shorten my stay from 4 nights to 1 night and said ok. No apology, no resolution, no offer to switch me to another room.||I refuse to spend another night here. I am surprised this hotel is still a Hilton. The owners obviously dont care. Health safety!||Will sleep in my clothes tonight and check out tomorrow. Won't risk having breakfast with what I've seen so far!!||DO NOT STAY HERE, there are other Hilton choices...

I stayed at this particular location before and the service was pretty good. But I stayed there a couple of days ago and this is was by far the WORST service I have ever received. I went to check in around 6pm and I when I arrived the first thing that I noticed was that the inside of the sliding doors and the lobby smelled like cigarettes smoke. I then proceeded to front desk and and no one was there but a sign that read " the agent is currently not able because she is assisting other customers and if you need assistance pick up the phone dial (0)." I called that phone 3 times but no one answered. I waited for over 15 minutes before I got helped as well as 7 other people who were behind me. I finally checked in at 6:25pm, and as soon as I entered the room, I saw the unthinkable; the room was still not cleaned. The beds were not made, there was food on the floor, trash in the room, trash in the bathroom, used dirty towels, used shaver, and used bar of soap on the countertop. So I immediately went back downstairs to talk to the representative, and reason why it was not cleaned is that the house Keeping lady had left because her son or daughter had fell. Whether it is true or not I would understand because I am a parent and I hate to have heard that my child got hurt and not be able to go and take care of him. But bottom line is that there is no reasonable excuse for this to happen especially when the checkouts and check ins are at 11am and 3pm. There is no way the room should not be ready by 3pm let alone 6:30 pm. Here are the pictures and videos so you all can see it for yourself. *Other thing, the TV was bolted onto the stand so you cannot move it how you would like. * It was just very unpleasant experience period.

First off the best value for what you are getting in all of Kalamazoo! I originally booked because I got the most bang for my buck by a mile. King Executive Suite with Jetted Hot Tub In Room. You have to book sooner rather than later because when they renovate the hotel the Hot Tub rooms may go out the back door. 🙏🤷‍♂️ The best run Hotel I’ve stayed at since Covid screwed up the industry. Robert is a gentleman and happens to be the GM. We became fast friends out of both our love of business and constant improvement in every aspect of our lives! The staff here is amazing and the hotel is very well appointed. I will stay here every chance I get the opportunity. I wish I could shout out the entire staff by name. I will say Koko is my favorite front desk agent possibly of all time! She as well as the other 2 ladies in the photo; I apologize and lost my list of your names. 🤷‍♂️🙏✅😎❤️ The two ladies not Koko are wonderfully sweet and kind Breakfast Specialists! Lastly and mostly the Executive Housekeeper is small in stature. Like I believe Theodore Roosevelt said: “Walk Softly and Carry a Big Stick” The young woman that took care of my room for me was everything you want in a co-worker, business partner, and friend. I apologize, like I said earlier I’ve lost my list of names! I also can tell you are a terrific Mother. Appreciate you ALL 🙏✅

I've been traveling for work for three years and this is by far the worst it has ever been. Room: 3/5 until I found a cockroach inside my toothbrush case when I went to put the electric toothbrush away. The cockroach put the room at a 1/5. I spent the next hour shaking everything out and repacking. Headboard peeling, furniture peeling. Front desk is not present. Waited to check in at the desk to get a physical card/water for awhile. Waited again for desk rep upon checking out to let him know about the cockroach and he said he was sorry. Asked for the room number. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Oshtemo has never been sketchy in the past, but this trip showed a different side. Location is great- off the highway before you get to Kzoo on the way from Chicago. I will NEVER stay here again and have informed my department to avoid as no one wants to take home bugs. Would have gotten a picture of the cockroach-but wasn't sure it would still be there once I got my phone. Smothered and flushed it.
