Culver’s — Restaurant in Texas Charter Township

They got it wrong the first time my burger was so greasy it was dripping leaving out the bag on my clothes and seat it made me vomit profusely, got a coupon didn’t get to basically pick what I want basically they get to decide and ordered a triple but got a double then asked for a little extra cheese but it was loaded with at least 4 also the cheese wasn’t their usual cheese this is a sandwich I’m used to so this tasted store bought and very cheap like that plastic cheap store brand cheese it made me gag at first bite, my sack of cheese curds were less than halfway full it’s a small sack to begin with but giving me less than have makes me think either not paying attention or someone is hungry, and I bought that stuff with two soups I came back for, the coupon was used on a fish sandwich I took one bite spit it out you pick it up the fish turns to crumble watery bitterness soggy just gross my fries unsalted had salt very stale tasting I took some photos of the food when I received it we live far and I’m not trying to give you guy’s trouble but theft of service is not receiving a item you payed for and not correcting or you knowing it wasn’t there because I asked before I left are you sure the order is right I ask are you sure it’s a triple and you said yes it is, I did contact corporate I’m awaiting a response and you guys did seem quite agitated today I’m sorry you were but this is twice and I spent a lot there in these two orders so this isn’t right to be doing.

Update don’t go to this particular Culver’s at all I write reviews for restaurants all the time but they are by first the worst place to eat not saying all Culver’s just this one in particular because I myself love Culver’s but just really don’t like this one it’s the only one I went to were the food and particular workers are really bad and nothing was ever solved they gave me a little coupon to replace a meal got a fish sandwich it was nasty but heck whatever so went back my fiancé wanted to give them one last shot at them making the burger we are used to I order a triple got a double cheese curds were over half empty one soup bad but one was really good which was broccoli cheese but I wanted what I paid for it’s theft of service and had to have corporate call you because I didn’t get a call she was rude said to me you didn’t like anything so I can’t do anything for you in a rude tone I called corporate again and just to say the lady at corporate super friendly but the manager here called he said I’m a layer it’s just hear say that they don’t know if that really happened that they ain’t giving no more coupons out I only got one and still ordered after the fact If you could check your cameras on the day and time my meal was made you will definitely see only two patties on that sandwich it’s easier to go to my receipt and check the date and time for the camera you’ll probably see a lot of mistakes being made it’s just insane it’s not right what this place does he tried to say he was next to the girl but I want to ask corporate to check their cameras in that restaurant it’s messed up that I had a restaurant steal from me I say steal because I paid for stuff I didn’t receive heck this could of been easily dealt with even if they gave me a single melt with curds or the value it matched but no matter what I explained I was a liar to the older mail manager I think he said his name was bob not sure but hers was Jennifer stay away from this Culver’s go to others or go to my favorite restaurant Hunan gardens they are great ask for the owner Francis she is amazing and will treat you with respect by the way they get my food right I never mind paying for what I order that’s just it WE are paying not you we should get what we ordered with a little kindness and respect I was completely kind the entire time maybe frustrated and exhausted being that I’m disabled and you were that disrespectful and...

Culver's is a Midwest staple, and for good reason!

Color me shocked when I found out how great their shrimp is! There are full blown restaurants that don't have shrimp this good! And the best part is, it's consistent. It's never tasted or smelled funky or fishy! It comes with cocktail sauce but you gotta ask for tartar if you want it.

The burgers are heavy hitters, and their fries are like White Castle's but better. Get a little cup of cheese sauce to dip 'em in - its REAL cheese, not that junky questionable dip you usually find at the gas stations.

The concrete mixers are incredible, and frozen custard has generic ice cream beat by a long shot. I keep it simple and usually have a scoop of vanilla with hot fudge. Hits the spot everytime!

The chicken tenders are always the perfect texture too. And the cheese curds! Awesome. I do wish they were a bit more consistent with how many curds come in a bag, though - there have been occasions where the bag was skimpy at best, much to my disappointment.

This location in particular usually has a wildly long line come dinnertime - but it always goes by with speedy efficiency in my experience. If you want to beat the line, I would say have an early bird dinner at 5!

The ambiance inside is... meh. Clean with big windows. Lots of old goats go here for some reason, I don't know how their stomachs handle any of this food but hey, you do you!

There's a few outdoor seats which is great, especially on a summer day after a swim.

For the past two years i have been going here inside, drive thru and curbside. The past 8 months I’ve been having very poor experiences. Most recently they forgot my bacon, that is almost $2. And when I called about this they said I could come get the bacon today? This is unacceptable. The customer service here is poor and out of control. Now I will only be and have been since then eating Culver’s in Plainwell or portage. As a former curd nerd, this is unbelievable and if I had more time I would raise a scene. I’m consistently getting the same order and any time I am not checking my burgers at least one is missing bacon. Only twice now I’ve called about it one of which is addressed above but ALSO the other time I was told I would be getting a coupon for a burger replacement in the mail (I won’t address that the value of a free burger doesn’t even come close to rectifying the disappointment in buying 2 BASKETS w/ BACON BURGERS and BOTH having no bacon) the coupon didn’t come after two weeks and I had ti call up there. Even still I was only offered a replacement burger - so I had to buy the fries. It’s just ridiculous I’m so busy I took a minute to make this review but yeah one star really needs 0 stars.
