We recently stopped over at the Scottwood Inn on our way to and from Door County, WI. The location was convenient, and the neighborhood (Old West End) is totally charming and lovely. The Inn itself is a beautiful old house, which I was delighted to find out is currently owned by members of the family that had grown up in the residence in the 1960s and 70s. Audrey, our innkeeper, was extremely friendly and welcoming, and didn't even mind our (quite) late check-in time on our return trip. She even gave us homegrown tomatoes to take with us! The room (the Lilac Suite) was comfortable and clean, and we spent both nights peacefully. A satisfying breakfast was cooked to order both mornings. The inn has a cozy, historic charm that fits perfectly with the character of the Old West End. There was Keurig coffee available in the morning, which was a nice touch to start the day.
