It has been my dream for over 15 years to have my wedding reception at this beautiful venue, and in October 2021, it came true! The Glass Pavilion is a stunningly unique reception venue with floor to ceiling glass walls and a classy, modern vibe. Our first meeting and tour with Amanda sealed the deal. We knew immediately that she would be a great partner and help us bring our modern fall wedding reception vision to life. Amanda, Maricarmen, and TMA leadership helped us navigate evolving COVID protocols, listening to our feedback and ideas, and allowing us to hold the event we had always dreamed of having while keeping our guests, staff, and vendors safe. We must also give a shoutout to Janet and the rest of the bartending and waitstaff, who were so kind to us and our guests, providing outstanding service. The menu tasting appointment was a lot of fun, and the meal options are outstanding! We received many compliments on our unique menu from our guests. We had a glass blowing demonstration during our cocktail hour – another one-of-a-kind element – and received the blown glass piece as a gift following the wedding. With the beauty of the space and the excellent service from the TMA team, this is truly an extraordinary...

It was alright. I grew up in the Toledo metro area, attended college there as well. I finally got my chance to come to the glass pavilion when I helped chaperone a school trip there.

These are my thoughts. The space is definitely unique. When it boils down to it, the most interesting part was watching the artisans make glass. The rest of the exhibit was essentially forgettable. There was a big giant weird chandelier when you walk in, and a store that was closed directly to your right.

Most of the glass walls look kinda cloudy and dirty. As if humidity and overall grime has done their thing. There is also a room full of glass trinkets that could best be described as, "All the grandparents of the world got together and assembled the largest collection of glass trinkets for a garage sale."

For Toledo being the glass city, it was a bit of a letdown. It's a nice addition, but keep your expectations where they should be... Of course, if you just put on those "rose colored glasses,"...

Make a point to visit! Not only is it FREE it is a gorgeous display of actual glass pieces through history, from ancient to present day. Make sure to give yourself 30 minutes to watch the glass blowing display! It is amazing! You can purchase in the on-site gift shop pieces crafted during the demonstrations. In the gift shop, there is a wall of glass through which you can see the outdoors. We purchased glasses of wine (good use for glass!) and relaxed here, surrounded by beautiful pieces of art while taking in the beauty of the outdoors. The pavilion has pieces on display as well as an installation by my favorite glass artist, Dale Chihuly. We hope to go back one day. This glass pavilion sits directly across the street from the Toledo...

Just so so beautiful. Every piece is so creative and all the artists are so talented. It quite a place to collect all the historical glass pieces. We were lucky to be there at a time when they was a glass demonstration class was going on. I have seen some of these videos on you tube but it's something else whne you see in person a piece being made. The teacher was very good in explaining to the audience what was happening and what the process it. I could see how much effort and time is spent on it. Definitely a place to go If you are in Toledo. Every piece is in a glass box so you can take your kids as well. Some of the big pieces aren't in a box but it's a definite line out so we can keep distance. Take your kids and show them this art.

We stopped by the Glass Pavilion on our way to the art museum. We caught the glass blowing demonstration and really learned a lot. There was one artisan creating a piece while another wore a mic and talked us through the whole process. He told us everything from the elements of the periodic table used to make the pieces, to the tools, to the temperatures of the glass required for different parts of the process. They made a beautiful blown bowl right in front of us! The rest of the museum had cool pieces displaying different techniques. It was a really nice place to go, it was free admission, and a well air conditioned place to beat the heat!

Very nice experience! It was not crowded when we visited. Admission is free, there is a parking fee, which is waived if military. Got to see how glass bowls are made from start to end. The person leading the session was detailed and explained what each step does. There are also glass blowing classes you can take here as well as a small gift shop where you can buy some of the work that was made during the classes/sessions. After seeing how glass is blown we walked around the entire Pavilion and saw mesmerizing glass art and historical pieces. Interesting place. Would definitely recommend seeing at least once.
