Just so so beautiful. Every piece is so creative and all the artists are so talented. It quite a place to collect all the historical glass pieces. We were lucky to be there at a time when they was a glass demonstration class was going on. I have seen some of these videos on you tube but it's something else whne you see in person a piece being made. The teacher was very good in explaining to the audience what was happening and what the process it. I could see how much effort and time is spent on it. Definitely a place to go If you are in Toledo. Every piece is in a glass box so you can take your kids as well. Some of the big pieces aren't in a box but it's a definite line out so we can keep distance. Take your kids and show them this art.

We stopped by the Glass Pavilion on our way to the art museum. We caught the glass blowing demonstration and really learned a lot. There was one artisan creating a piece while another wore a mic and talked us through the whole process. He told us everything from the elements of the periodic table used to make the pieces, to the tools, to the temperatures of the glass required for different parts of the process. They made a beautiful blown bowl right in front of us! The rest of the museum had cool pieces displaying different techniques. It was a really nice place to go, it was free admission, and a well air conditioned place to beat the heat!

Very nice experience! It was not crowded when we visited. Admission is free, there is a parking fee, which is waived if military. Got to see how glass bowls are made from start to end. The person leading the session was detailed and explained what each step does. There are also glass blowing classes you can take here as well as a small gift shop where you can buy some of the work that was made during the classes/sessions. After seeing how glass is blown we walked around the entire Pavilion and saw mesmerizing glass art and historical pieces. Interesting place. Would definitely recommend seeing at least once.

Parking is just to the East of the Pavilion & costs $8 a vehicle. It's secured parking though & it's no cost to enter the Glass Pavilion. Amazing glass art from historical treasures to modern pieces. Glass blowing demonstrations are available to watch. Give yourself time to enjoy this place, many plaques to read and the demonstrations are worth watching. Families are welcome but tiny kids you might have to restrain & would probably do best in a stroller. This is an extension of the Toledo Museum of Art across the street but The Glass Pavilion could take a good chunk of time all on it's own, don't rush!

Wow, the Glass Pavilion has left me breathless. I have never seen so many beautiful and timeless glass displays than what is displayed here in the "Glass City." I am new to Toledo and after last weekends block party at the Toledo Museum things are beginning to fall into place in regards to me understanding the many subcultures here in "the Black swamp," "the Mud," " Holy Toledo" and "Glass City." While at the museum i met some true historians that were delighted in sharing the history of such a beautiful city and state. "You will do better in Toledo."

We went for the glassblowing demonstration, which was perfect for children and adults alike. The presenters were thorough in showing and explaining every stage of the production of a glass pitcher. They even explained the annealer in such a way that my little knew what it was for. We stayed to look at the many glass pieces and just explore the beautiful building. Also, the cafe has great coffee if you want something to warm you up on your walk back over to the main museum building.
