Seashore Condo Hotel — Hotel in Town of Brookhaven

This is the best place to stay in Ocean Bay Park. Period. In fact, I’ve stayed in many homes on Fire Island, and this was the best experience I’ve ever had by a long shot. First of all, Ocean Bay Park is the best kept secret on the Island. People are relaxed, there is a great accepting, live-and-let-live vibe. You can walk to Cherry Grove along the beach or the forest and just 20 minutes stroll or a bike to Ocean Beach. ||The condos are on the bay, a few steps from two restaurants and around the corner from the beach. The place is managed by two guys (Brett and Jeff) who love it to death, and it shows in everything. The condos are pristine clean, with Fire Island charm — a touch of wood, full size refrigerator, plenty of decks, bistro tables, chaises and pillows, an outdoor kitchen/barbecue plus an outdoor shower and bikes. The guys provide hot coffee and the essentials for a quick bite to get you going in the mornings, beach gear, and recommendations to anything you want on the Island. The place combines two opposite features -- enough privacy and solitude if you want that and just enough access to socializing and fun too. The best part for me were the sweet, unexpected gestures. Brett showed up one late morning with a bonanza of fresh vegetables from the garden he’s planted on the side of the property (I’ll try to include a picture). You can’t make this up. Best salad I’ve eaten this year. Best place for a Fire Island getaway to rinse the head and refresh the soul. Can’t wait...

My stay has just began and I can't help it but to leave a review of this wonderful Fire Island experience. I ve been coming to Fire Island ( OBP and OB ) since 2008. Every year I've noticed one trend: crowds getting nastier , businesses getting more expensive and loosing the true sense of hospitality. The good old Fire Island vibe was completely disappearing.... Until today. Staying at the Seashore Condo brought me back to those days thanks to the Genuine hospitality and attention to details ownership has here. The simplicity of their system is perfect , amenities are excellent and cleanness is spot on. Everything you need to enjoy the wonderful island. I especially appreciate the external decor and the fact they use dim red lights outdoor at night and none of those white hospital spot lights that activates with sensors. Their rates are 100% spot on and their season ends pretty late in the year , which is a huge plus for a fisherman like me. Will come here all the time...

Dirty, cramped and unspeakably overpriced. Brett & Jeff went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make my friends and I uncomfortable when we stayed with them Labor Day Weekend of 2021. We were a group of 4 women staying for a few days at the beach, excited to spend the weekend on FI together for the first time. We were quiet, respectful and kind. We endured dirty looks and rude comments from the hosts from the time we checked in to the time we checked out, particularly when we went to use outdoor shower and relax on the deck together. It completely ruined our stay. We also found bugs all over the room, including in the "clean sheets". To this day, 4 years later, we tell people about how unhospitable these hosts were. Just about the ONLY redeemable thing about this makeshift "hotel" is the location. Don't waste your money, stay...
