Glen Sanders Mansion — Hotel in Town of Glenville

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married at Glen Sanders on 10/13/23. One of the features of this venue that secured our decision, was the convenience factor. We had approximately 210 guests attend and being able to get ready in the bridal suites and man cave, host the ceremony, reception/cocktail hour, afterparty AND accommodate lodging for our bridal parties + families (17 people), made things much more streamlined. In addition, since Mazzone owns the venue, having them cater the food allowed us to “bundle” the costs of food, alcohol and venue. This is a beautiful venue as well. They took measures to make sure their landscaping and outward/inward appearance were perfect, prior to the wedding. Preparations- once we had chosen Glen Sanders as our venue, we had the absolute pleasure of working with Katie R as our sales planner. I can’t convey enough how helpful she was throughout the entire process, prior to the wedding. She helped us choose our menu based on a target per head price and customize it as requested, coordinate and organize all details regarding the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, coordinate with some of our vendors, but most importantly answered every question we had with patience, speed and effectiveness. She was incredibly organized and it helped keep track of the million details at play. Day of- In addition Glen Sanders provides an event manager, who helps with the setup of all décor, the rehearsal, coordinating background details for event staff, facilitated progression of bridal party on the day of for pics/introductions/processions/etc. We worked with Leslie P, who has a wealth of knowledge about everything Glen Sanders, having worked there for 20+ years. She was thorough, present, patient, pleasant and helpful, with everything the day prior to and the day of the wedding. Lastly Glen Sanders ALSO provides a day of attendant, we worked with Maki. Maki also has a wealth of knowledge regarding bustling dresses and the inner workings of weddings at Glen Sanders. She served to assist with anything my husband or I needed throughout the day of the wedding. This included bustling my dress as well as fluffing it, holding flowers and my dress during picture changes, getting us food/drinks, and much more. Maki was an absolute sweetheart as well and made things go incredibly smoothly. Food- coming from an enormous Italian family, it was essential that the food was tasty. We had the 3 stations and 3 hand passed bites- all delicious and replenished throughout cocktail hour. People loved the dinners as well as the cake! Lodging- we worked with Jennifer for lodging at GSM and she was incredibly helpful. We made so many changes throughout and she was accommodating throughout! On 5/26/2023, I had the absolute pleasure of DJing an unforgettable wedding at Glan Sanders Mansion, and I must say, they completely blew me away. From start to finish, their attention to detail was simply impeccable. I cannot praise Lesley and her staff enough for their incredible dedication and meticulous approach to making every moment count.

First and foremost, the venue's grounds and the picturesque landscape of the ceremony area were nothing short of breathtaking. The natural beauty surrounding the estate provided a stunning backdrop, enhancing the overall atmosphere of romance and enchantment. The meticulously maintained gardens and elegant architecture truly added an extra touch of magic to the event.

Once inside, the grand ballroom of Glan Sanders Mansion continued to impress. The exquisite design and tasteful decor created an ambiance that was both refined and welcoming. The spacious layout allowed for seamless transitions between different segments of the wedding, ensuring an effortless flow of energy throughout the evening.

Lesley and her staff deserve a special mention for their exceptional professionalism and unwavering dedication. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the event planning process. From coordinating the timeline to liaising with vendors, they left no stone unturned, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and according to plan. Their helpful and knowledgeable approach truly made a significant difference and eased the burden on both the couple and myself as the DJ.

Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of amazing. The culinary team at Glan Sanders Mansion delivered a culinary experience that was not only visually stunning but also tantalized the taste buds. The menu was thoughtfully curated, offering a wide array of delicious options that catered to different palates. The attention to flavors, presentation, and overall quality of the cuisine exceeded all expectations, leaving both guests and vendors thoroughly impressed.

In conclusion, my experience at Glan Sanders Mansion was nothing short of extraordinary. Lesley and her staff's attention to detail, their incredible assistance, and their extensive knowledge truly elevated the event to new heights. The captivating beauty of the grounds and the elegant ballroom provided the perfect setting for a truly magical wedding celebration. I recently celebrated my wedding here. I have to say the attention to detail here is amazing. I had never been here before and went to the mansion to have a tour and to discuss my options in person. I first met Gabriella and Katie who were so kind and happy to help me. It is honestly truly rare to meet people who are so happy to help, enthusiastic, and willing to accommodate. I had a good feeling when corresponding with them over email, but this was solidified by meeting them in person. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous, I don't know of any other place that has both the aesthetic and attention that Glen Sanders provides. There is a beautiful winding staircase and impressive chandelier - in addition to modern and comfortable furnishings. The food was fantastic - as is always with Mazzone. The entire place was decorated for the holidays provided by the mansion so I did not need to purchase anything extra. Glen Sanders truly took care of everything, they were my coordinator, florist, venue & caterer all in one. In addition, they have an in house Salon where Jen and Jenelle of The Grand Salon did my hair & make up perfectly and were both professionals. This made it so easy for me to get ready and go right to my ceremony shortly after. All of the staff at Glen Sanders were kind and attentive.
