I really love this little gem so much that I'm really shocked that I haven't written a review sooner. A friend of mine took me here a couple years ago, and I've been coming back every couple months ever since. The food is good, the atmosphere is festive, the staff is friendly, and it's a pretty lively place for drinks and dinner. Plus its right across the street from the Scotia Movie Theater, so it's a great place to grab a bite afterward. I usually start out with their shrimp Gyoza, which are scrumptious and yummy with their little dipping sauce, and a Peking Spring Roll which is deep fried, has shrimp inside, and comes with that orange sweet and sour sauce. Then I'll usually lean into my friend's plates for a taste of their other many delicious apps including Edamame (simple and classic), Shumai (one of my favorites), Thai Chicken Lettuce Cup (an incredible starter and highly recommended for the low carb crowd), or some California Rolls (I accepted that these will almost always be made with imitation crab when I moved back to the east coast, but I still enjoy them). Moving onto my dinner, I'd really love to write about all the wonderful dishes I've tasted, but it would be a true dishonor to not talk about the one dish I order almost EVERY single time... the Singapore Curry Rice Noodles! That savory yellow curry is so fantastic. It has just enough of a little kick to make my nose slightly runny, but not enough to ruin my taste buds for the weekend. It comes with two -- that's right folks TWO -- types of meat (shrimp and roast pork), atop thin rice noodles, and is mixed with egg and the yellow curry powder of course. So if you're in the neighborhood or just looking to check out a new spot with some great food, give Jade Bistro a shot. You might see me with friends getting a little sloppy from too many Lychee or Crisp Cucumber-martinis!

20% gratuity included on dinner for 2. Beware of the fine print that says it “may” be included. It is definitely included. Took forever 2 get our order taken and then didn’t get our water/drinks refilled until we were leaving. All fine until you impose a mandatory $10 tip on 2 sushi roles which by the way have increased in price by 10%. 0 Stars. Here are a few reasons. Average sushi roll is 3 dollars more than any other sushi place in the area. Mr Wasabi is a much nicer place with much better prices and no mandatory tip. I asked that they let me adjust the tip and they said, no. Even after I stated that I would not go back if they enforced the tip. My wife went in a few weeks ago for take out and she waited 20 minutes before being helped and then didn’t get her food until 45 minutes total. This was on her lunch break from work. They have signs up that prices are going up due to costs but no other places in the area have increased prices or decreased serving sizes. This is a neighborhood place. I’d be surprised if they survive with the way they are doing business.

Came here with some friends for dinner, very good and will be coming again! The Food is good and reasonably priced for the area, which isn't the cheapest, but it's going rate at this point. The sushi was delicious, and very unique options compared to other places in the area. Pretty good, as we love trying different sushi rolls. Really, no problems with the food at all, very delicious. The atmosphere was great, like a bit of a confusing decor, but it fits the restaurant. Service was intresting. It was fast, but they initially brought out a roll, then a minute later came and took it back, just saying no, and then a minute later told us it was right and handed it back. Parking was free, there's a lot right outside, so very convenient. Especially for the area. Peanut-friendly options! And very accommodating for allergies. We made a reservation; without it, we would have had to wait, but it was a Saturday evening. Already have plans to come back, so check it out!

Location: directly across from Scotia Movie Theatre. Good location, clean and accessible Food: Quality is pleasant. Quantity is equal to price. Ordered the Singapore Curry Noodles, flavored with dry curry powder. The moisture of the noodles had some inconsistency, where some noodles were completely dry and others moist, even after mixing. The meal was overall flavorful, without being too strong or weak. Atmosphere: Open spaces seating, which assists loud conversation(s). Pleasant decoration and feel. Clean atmosphere. Service: service was extremely well done. All items were remembered for a party of 8. Drinks were refilled without question. Meal was served in good timing. Food over all is flavorful. Price: Price to value ratio is fair. Medium to higher income based target market. Currently Jade Bistro has great food, good location and tremendous service. Average plate costs for dinner is about $16.

Very nice restaurant with lots of seating. There were six of us and we had a 5 minute wait which is not bad at all for a busy Saturday night. Our service was okay, I think there was a bit of a language barrier but we got there in the end. I must say the food was really excellent. Appetizers - out of control roll, a jalapeno roll and shumai We ordered fried rice, Thai style sizzling chicken, roasted duck for the table and a seafood in their XO sauce. The food was delicious and worth the wait. I would definitely go back to this restaurant. Lots of parking off the main street.
