It's a great park with a small lake, playground, splash pad, picnic tables and a pavilion that can be rented. Tennis and basketball courts are available, and ice cream and burgers are just across the street. The Mohawk River meanders close by with picnic tables situated along the bank. The public library and small eateries are close by as well. Freedom Park hold concerts during the Summer and there are water skiing shows too. Fireworks for the 4th of July are usually scheduled to happen based on when the holiday falls and they are usually set off from the island in the Mohawk River. Dogs must be leashed at all times and non motorized boats are allowed on the lake. Dawn to dusk hours. It's a very busy park during the nice weather.
