Residence Inn by Marriott Melville — Hotel in Town of Huntington

Full disclosure, I haven't stayed here. However I did visit and receive a full tour of the property. As someone who used to work in the hospitality industry, I stopped by since I knew about it being a brand new hotel and I'm always keeping an eye on places for those I know to stay when they're in town. I am absolutely amazed with how awesome this place is. The curb appeal is beautiful, the exterior is custom and much nicer than most Residence Inn's I've been to. The lobby design is stunning and doesn't even feel like a Residence Inn. It feels much higher end. Ashley showed me around and was so beyond kind and really detailed when explaining the different room types and amenities in each room. She also showed me the gym, pool, and other amenities around the property. She has excellent customer service skills and is what great hospitality is all about. She definitely represents the quality of customer service you'd expect from Marriott. The rooms are wonderful, and some of the larger rooms have full stove tops, ovens, and large refrigerators. The hotel hallways feel like something above your standard Residence Inn, and they even have what I was told is a full service restaurant on site which is very rare for a suburban style Residence Inn. The location is excellent, right off the Long Island Expressway, near many great restaurants and shopping down the road in either direction. Overall this place is a homereun for Long Island. I'm very impressed and wish this place...

Residence Inn by Marriott Melville is conveniently located off of Interstate 495 and State Route 110. Hotel distance from JFK Airport is approximately thirty miles. Hotel is minutes from Farmingdale State College. Hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Lobby and corridors were clean and well maintained. Guest room amenities were functional; and guest suite room and bathroom were generally clean. Breakfast buffet was good quality fare with limited selection. Many take-out and restaurant options as well as shopping mall and BJs Wholesale Club within proximity of hotel but not within walking distance. Despite proximity to busy Routes 110, 495, and shopping areas, vehicle traffic noise was minimal. Overall, very good experience. I would consider returning to this hotel when conducting business in Melville, Farmingdale areas...

Very pleased finding this new Residence Inn for our long term stay on Long Island. Beautiful suite with kitchen, amenities that suit our needs and friendly, accommodating staff. Everyone we encounter goes beyond service expectations. Bianca who works in the restaurant/bar area has been especially helpful and service oriented. Always a smile and acknowledges us everytime we see her. She made us feel very welcomed and comfortable from our first meeting. Also want to acknowledge Jenn who works the daily breakfast service. She appears to single handedly keep the tables and breakfast area clean, filled with food and coffee, with ease and a kind response. Not an easy feat, especially on very busy...
