Well I am trying to being honest to myself and leaving this review here behalf of my family. Recently we had a short gate away with our 3 years daughter to Lake George from NY by bus for almost 6 or 7 hours. It’s tiresome. Well I am going to share our experienced here. |1. Room- was not as we have pictured. Wasn’t relaxing :(|2. WiFi- was not working properly. Weak connection specially corner of the house( inside ). |3. TV- there were 2 one is flat and the other one is just old model small and bold. But you can watch only one channel. Wasn’t expecting this. It’s like just for show up. |4. Check in out timing- is not helpful.|5. Swimming pool- was ok. The day we have arrived it wasn’t that clean as it shows in the picture. But it’s an open area so we can understand. |6. Staff- they were nice and trying there best to help you. And I guess I also met the owner but not sure. He seemed frank and nice guy. |7. Play ground- just ok.nothing much to do. |8. Biggest problem we faced is transportation from motel to the Lake George city. It’s just 3-4 mins distance from motel on trolly but if you walk then it take 15 mins or little less. |And there is Noooooo Lyft neither Uber services. |Trolly comes and goes right next to the other motel opposite side of the motel. |9. Phone network specially T-mobile service sucks. ||We aren’t sure whether we may or might make another trip to Lake George in future because we don’t drive and it’s quite far. But if we do then we would prefer to stay in the main city because then you don’t have to worrying about trolly to catch up to your motel. And you can spend more time to enjoy the place. |Lastly one thing I really like about Lake George is trolly drivers are I mean most of them are very nice and helpful. Really they take you to your place because they know you are new in town and dropped you at right place according to their best understanding. Not only us but others too. So big Thank You ! |Any ways I am not saying we didn’t have fun at Lake George but it’s was not the one to remember either. I hope this review will help with the family or...
Read moreMy husband and I have been staying at Adirondack Sunrise more often then not over the course of the past 5-6 years. The last several times we have stayed has been with our son. ||||First I will say that the business has recently undergone a change of ownership. At least that is what we are assuming, as Jan was not around for our stay and there were new cards with a different name on it. This had not been explained and I had been confused a few months ago when Mike (new owner) called to collect our deposit for this year's stay. ||||Additionally, for anyone who had booked last year for this year, please be aware that there has been a substantial price increase for the cabins. We had cabin 10 this year, and that was at least an additional $60/night increase. Again, although we had not been informed about this (a heads up would have been nice), the updated pricing is now available on the website. ||||The new owners have been working on making some improvements to the property. They did pave the drive and added designated parking areas. There appears to have been other minor updates. The new housekeeping staff is pleasant and helpful.||||The pool could use some updating as there is a large hole in the one corner, but it was nice to be able to use during the hot weather. It is fenced in and the door secured well (for those with children).||||We did stay in cabin 10, and the toilet seemed to have a leak from the tank to the bowl, causing the toilet to run quite frequently. Additionally, the mattresses in this cabin were so firm, they caused my husband and I to be quite painful. We were unable to sleep because of this, and actually checked out a day early just to come home.||||Hopefully improvements continue to be made. With the substantial price increase, I would say that this is still a decently valued stay, but not what it has been...
Read moreI wanted to like this place except there were too many things that would keep me from going back. Outside is nice. We didn’t swim but the pool looked nice. Plenty of a fire places but 10 dollars for 8 pieces of wood is a bit much. My daughter liked the swing set. The inside needs work. Feels like 70s with painted paneling and a shotty floor job. We stayed four nights and were looking forward to leaving. The room was dirty. My daughter’s socks were black within an hour of walking on the floor. The whole place just felt grimy. Our friends were staying in 10 and found wads of hair on the floor and streak marks on the door. Our bathroom door did not shut and no locks on the door. My toddler kept pushing the door open because it wouldn’t shut. It got down to 50 degrees our first night and when we turned on the heat, it would not work. We had our infant son and 2 year old daughter and it was very cold in the room. The next morning when the office was supposed to be open at 10 I went down at 10:30, 11 and 12 and there door was locked with a sign saying to call this number. I called 2 times and both times no one answered and a full voicemail box so couldn’t leave a message. Our friends were texted by a number before they got there that they don’t need to check in and their key would be in the door. So I text that number with the issues we had. They did get the heat to turn on but setting it at 70 it was either still really cold or over bearingly hot. The door didn’t get fixed. The floor did seem to get cleaned but with how dated the room is, not much cleaning matters. Overall was disappointed for the price we paid and was a little embarrassed that our friends also stayed here...
