My boyfriend and I wanted to enjoy fall (real autumnal enthusiasts here) for Columbus day weekend, we knew we wanted something close to Belleayre mountain and boy are we glad we chose this place! Heidi and Randi were amazing hosts, breakfast was amazing and included locally sourced items. Our room was warm, cozy and romantic with beautiful stained glass windows! The downstairs was so fun!!! There’s a gorgeous wood stove to sit by and enjoy a warm beverage, a piano room and a room to play chess! It’s right in the Village of Fleischmanns with so much to do, we were surprised with the concentration of culture in such a small town hidden in the Catskills. Local ethnic restaurants, farm stand, cheese shop and more, all within walking distance from the bed and breakfast. With so much to do in town we didn’t stop there, we took a gondola ride atop Belleayre mountain to enjoy the 360 views of the mountains and WOW we are so glad we did, it was phenomenal!! It was Oktoberfest that weekend so the mountain was buzzing with live music, food, games etc. After the day was over, we headed back to the bed and breakfast which is only five minutes from Belleayre. Upon exiting the mountain it’s a turn left to get back to Fleischmanns and your back in a jiffy! We made some local pals that recommended so many other fun things to do that we just didn’t have time to get to. Luckily, we are planning our return for the end of the year! The Catskills are going to be so magical, covered in snow! We are so excited! 5 stars Heidi and Randi thank you again for a wonderful visit!...
Read moreWe’ve attended multiple performance events at the arts inn. The music, dance film and art are always top notch. So is the food! Last night Aug 2 was yet another wonderful evening of dance and music. Also great food supplied by local restaurants including the Print House’s famous meatballs, Oda’s sublime Balkan Mezze platter, an inventive Kimbap from Morning Cafe and yummy desserts from Cafe Marguerite. We have also stayed at the Arts Inn for the President's day and Memorial Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. The hosts were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. They allowed one couple to bring their adorable puppy as they have one pet friendly room. The Inn is a wonder of old world charm with a music room, game room, dance studio, and local artist displays. We were treated to a gorgeous recital on Saturday evening by a virtuoso violin/piano duo. The breakfasts are lovely and so is the area. We don't ski so spent both days hiking. And two calm quiet restorative nights sleep! Would...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay at the Arts Inn. Hosts Heidi and Randy are friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting folks that made us feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. There were unexpected personal touches that made all the difference. Breakfast was Continental style, including yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, and home-baked muffins. In addition to our room, there are large indoor spaces for reading and board games, and a porch for relaxing. The inn is a good home base for exploring the scenery and history of the Catskills, for exploring the various towns and villages, antiquing, thrifting, and if you enjoy hiking and related activities, there are excellent opportunities to do that. The hosts have a mission to promote the arts, visual and performing, and are actively engaged in working to bring that to the local community with special events based at the inn, and with purchasable art displayed throughout. We intend to make another visit...
