River Run Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Town of Middletown

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left we could not have had a better experience! This was our first time ever in a bed and breakfast, and Ben welcomed us as if we were part of his family! We were in town for a wedding at Spillians, and stayed Friday through Sunday in the Delaware room. King bed was comfy, pillows wonderful. Ben gave us extra towels and shampoo. We sat outside in the "back yard" reading Friday afternoon, and Ben walked all the way out to hand us the breakfast menu for the next morning. He was a wealth of info about the living room area with the antiques there. He recommended places to eat (we ate pizza lunch at Oakleys (good) , dinner at La Cabana (just okay) and the next day walked to Goatie Whites for salads. (very good.)|Breakfast at River Run was really good. We opted to eat in the dining room area, and Ben delivered trays right to us exactly a the time we picked. The French toast (Saturday) and onion quiche (Sunday) were very good. Also had the fresh fruit - Saturday was pineapple and Sunday was watermelon/cantelope balls.). Bagel was fine. We never had a problem parking in front. I would highly recommend this establishment if ever...

We stayed at River Run for a wedding at nearby Spillian and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our group booked the whole house, which gave everyone their own space while still letting us gather for delicious made-to-order breakfasts in the cozy, historic home. The owner was absolutely wonderful!! welcoming, joyful, and so fun to be around. He even shared his vintage clothing collection with us and truly felt like part of the celebration. The location was ideal, close to Spillian in downtown Fleischmanns, where we could walk back from the after-party at the Print Store. The small-town charm, live music, and community vibe made the whole weekend feel extra special. I left with my heart full! this place turned a beautiful wedding weekend into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend, especially if you’re attending an event...

River Run is a wonderful bed and breakfast in an idyllic upstate New York village tucked away in the Catskills. The house itself is gorgeous and spacious such that even when busy the house feels quiet and spread out. Adjacent to several hiking trails, creeks, smaller rivers, ski slopes, and fairgrounds, there will surely be something going on nearby. I was able to take a long weekend here in early October and caught the peak of the fall foliage and it was spectacular! I am hoping to make it a regular occurrence.

The hospitality and service is top of the line. The innkeeper also has extensive knowledge of the area and its history and can offer recommendations on points of interest in the surrounding area. I have stayed here at least 3 times and foresee many more in the future. Cannot...
