Super 8 by Wyndham Monticello — Hotel in Town of Thompson

Incredibly disappointed in the "cleanliness" of the room. Upon walking into the room, there was a very unpleasant odor of damp carpeting, stale cigarette smoke, and Marijuana. Every surface in the room had a visible layer of dust and the room had appeared to not have been cleaned in several weeks. The couch was covered in chunks of dust that had blown out of the A/C unit. There were cobwebs throughout the room which were filled with insects. There were dead insects and chewed bubble gum in the window sill. The mini fridge had mold, mildew, and old food stains. The carpeting was stained and littered with dog food, hair, nail clippings, a press-on nail, and used tissue among other debris under the bed. The mattress had a large brown stain and several cigarette burns throughout. The sheets and pillows were stained with makeup, hair, and rust-colored blotches. The bathroom contained mold, minimal toiletries, and stained towels which contained strands of hair woven throughout. Upon notifying the front desk, I was confronted and accused of having "staged" the room to get a discount before being reluctantly moved to another room. The new room could only be described as "less dirty". Several people were seen loitering around the property; with obvious drug-related transactions taking place in several key rooms. In a time of Covid-19, this business should be condemned. I would not recommend that anyone spend their time or money in this...

The hotel staff was nice at the counter. It seemed they downgraded rooms a lot as we asked for king and got two twin beds. Another peraon had the same thing happen. Price was the same but when you enjoy sleeping with your partner(s), it is kinda hard unless you are small. The first issue was opening the door as it would open about 2/3 at a 45 degree max swing.

As far as clean. The beds looked clean but in a nonsmoking room the blankets were spotted with burn marks and holes. The nightstand between the beds had garbage and a earring from a previous client and what appeared to be a sticky reside and drink cup ring.

The coffee pot looked like it was never cleaned in a month with dust all over it. The bathroom had urine stains in the wall facing away from the toilet. The wall next to the sink, low and exiting the door appeared to be dried blood stain. Even some seemed to be in the sink. The shower had the last clients hair all over the drain.

After cleaning the shower myself. The water is hot for a minute or two then its lukewarm then hot for a few minutes after about 5 and this cycle continues.

I have been in plenty of super 8s and others in these chains but this was the worst. Never have i rated a place 1 star so easily. Im pretty liberal with my star count because i understand many things in business but this was...

Room had two broken pieces of a crack pipe on the floor. The sheets were stained and had hair on them. The room floor was uneven and had a "soft" spot where it felt like you would fall through. The toilet ran constantly. It was impossible to keep the shower from flooding the bathroom floor.

I went to the manager to complain about the dirty sheets and the crackpipe. She didn't speak English very well, and seemed to not understand what I was saying. She was adamant that the rooms are inspected by her, and that there was no way there would be glass or dirty sheets. I asked if there were any other rooms. She said that there was one, but she would have to look at the room I was in first. She went in and quickly put the pieces of glass in her pocket. She then left to go to the other room. I followed her shortly after, and saw that she was putting all the trash and bottles left in that room into a shopping bag, and she was making the bed. I told her I did not want that room, because it wasn't cleaned properly. Being that it was late, I was extremely tired, and had to leave early, I reluctantly agreed to stay in the room I already had.

I did drive to the local Walmart and buy replacement sheets though.
