ALDI — Local services in Town of Thompson

Extremely dissatisfied. Besides a barely functional web site and Android App, I went to the local store both inside and tried curbside pick-up 4 days in a row mid + late in week to try to get an item advertised for sale in weekly circular that was not merely OUT of stock, but was never IN stock. I was never told it was t going to be carried at this store - rather each day I was told by someone that it should be coming in tomorrow's shipment - but never arrived. So either unethical baiting / false advertising to get you in the front door, or their inventory/supply chain and local management people are as "ineffective" and unaware as most Walmarts.

The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because:

a) they cancelled + refunded my online order attempts (for curbside pickup) immediately, and b) my wife tends to get some decent prices on basic groceries like milk, cheese, etc. But more than half of our local Aldi's store is literally just isles of junk food, and some of the other local stores (Walmart, ShopRite, local chains, etc.) are suprisingly competitive with regards to good quality + low cost meats, eggs, produce, etc.

I went to Aldi after a long time and I was so happy to find 2 lb bags of peaches and plums.I also purchased some beef and lamb.The peaches and plums were cold and not very ripe but I thought they would ripen either in my fridge or in my window.That is not what happened.All the peaches started getting mold from inside where the seed is and it made the whole fruit tasing bad and nasty.The plums were so sour even the ripe ones .I purchased 6 bags of 2 lb peaches and 3 lb plums and I have to throw them out.I seemed to have lost my receipt so I couldn't return them.The butterflied leg of lamb I purchased ,when I opened up the bag to portion it into smaller servings for the freezer it was stinking like farts.I rinsed it and it no longer stank so much but I might have to throw it out if it smells when I cook it.I will never ever shop at Aldi's again!!! Food is so expensive these days that I can't afford to throw it out because their produce or meat is nasty and rotten from...

We love Aldi and if we stop by Dollar Tree we usually step into Aldi as well. The prices are amazing and we can always find something that we need or forgot to add to grocery list. I did notice that the $1 salad is not there anymore or I keep missing it every time?! In Walmart that mixed salad is $1.48 or so. Hey, in these times, every penny saved is a good thing! Make sure to keep your reusable bags in the car so you don’t have to buy from them. I’ve purchased at least one every time 🤣 but they get reused. If you want to eat better during the holidays, don’t go here because those Christmas cookies smell too good to not put in your cart. But seriously, go here if you wish to save some money. You’re getting the same stuff, same ingredients, minus the fancy...
