Budget Inn — Hotel in Town of Tonawanda

In a word, this motel is atrocious. Despite the listing saying it was a 24-hour front desk, And writing on my reservation that I'd be getting there between 11:30 and midnight, after ringing the bell and waiting several minutes for the clerk, I checked in and was told that it was late and the front desk will be closing. If I need anything I can get it in the morning. Went to my room and it stank too high heaven. It smelled and looked like somebody smoked two packs a day in that room for the last 20 years. That and the dust set off my allergies bad. The room was filthy, musty, moldy and cold. The room featured peeling paint, broken lights, and a thin, stained bedspread. Right outside my door was bags of dirty linens from all the rooms (All the time not just when they were "cleaning"), and an overflowing garbage can with swarming yellow jackets. I was given a full size bed rather than the king size bed I had reserved. Could hear the next room going out it till 2:00 in the morning. The only good thing I can say is, the water pressure in the shower was excellent. I would have enjoyed my long hot shower more if there wasn't a mildewed and moldy shower curtain in there with me. The electrical ground wire from the air conditioner is just dangling out of the unit, and the room was so small that you couldn't fully open the little fridge, it was too close to the bed. I Booked this place to save money, I will not be staying here again under any circumstances. Not even for free. I'd rather either pay more for a better hotel or sleep in my Jeep. I take no joy in writing a negative review. This seems like a small family business, but I also feel like I was totally ripped off by paying a fair price and receiving a...

I booked this hotel based on other reviews which were ok..my daughter & i were going to a concert in buffalo and needed to stay overnight..the room was dark, had no smoke detector (which i mentioned to the owner.she just shrugged and smiled), the vent in the bathroom was broken and laying on the floor w/ all the surrounding dirt..spider web in the shower..the door looked as though it had been bashed in a few times..the towels were the thinnest, roughest towels i have ever seen..absolutely no amenities..no shampoo, hairdryer, etc..on the plus side..the sheets smelled like they had been washed in bleach..threw everything else on the floor, (blankets w/ cigarette holes in them)..we couldn't wait to leave..i would recommend spending an extra $20 and go...
