I would like to start out with a large group of us stayed here from 4-7 days from the east coast because we were all attending our nieces wedding in Escondido.
I did have a miscommunication with one of the ladies one or two days about cleaning our room since we stayed here 4 nights but it wasn’t a really big deal since everyone I mean everyone the whole staff has been soo accommodating and soo sweet. I just went downstairs and got towels and let Shawn know that they didn’t clean my room and I didn’t have any towels and if I can have towels. By the time I went up my husband told me Shawn had called the room and told him he apologized for the inconvenience and he was going to credit us $100 and apologized profusely again. My husband thanked him. Like I said everyone was very accommodating and very sweet at this hotel.
We had breakfast downstairs each morning it was included with your stay and we actually took up the long table and then some and had made to order omelette we made our own mini waffles. You can’t beat it, it was awesome. The ladies in the morning was great. They also had scrambled eggs that was ready in the buffet style with sausage links and bacon and assorted breads for you to toast. The only thing that was actually missing was assorted juices they only had OJ which for some would be good enough but me being picky lol would’ve like maybe an apple juice or cranberry juice. They also had coffee, decaf and tea and some fruits. At night we went down for HH and the gentleman that was the bartender that pretty much did everything there he was Jack of all trades he handled it all. HH was from 5:30-7:30 and it was $2 off wine, beer and cocktails. Bar is open from Tuesday-Saturday. They also had pizza, flatbread and salad to order.
The hotel overall was very clean!! It was newly remodelled I was told. I loved our room it was spacious and soo soo clean!! Prior to coming I remember Kate calling me and I had mentioned to her I am allergic to pet hair soo she made sure it was a Hypoallergenic room since it is a pet friendly hotel which is great for pet owners which I do love that for them because it is hard to find hotels that accommodate that. So the day we checked in Joy said our room will be ready in about 30mins because we were a bit early and want to make sure it’s completely ready for me and hypoallergenic-ally clean which I really appreciated and wasn’t rushing her since we wanted to go and explore and get food anyways.
So let me reiterate this if we were ever on this neck of the woods again we will definitely be staying here. Nothing but positive words to say about this place!! LOVE LOVE IT!!
*Quick note one of our friends ran out of hangers and since the hotel was completely booked and all the hangers were occupied since we were all going to a wedding one of the staff brought them hangers from home…who does that lol so my friend when they left gave her a tip personally…customer...
Read moreMy son had a soccer tournament in Oceanside this past weekend and when I went to book unfortunately everything close was booked or overpriced. We decided on this Hotel due to short distance from event. All I can say is wow ! This small hotel is beautiful, spotless and customer service is above and beyond . It has a warm and cozy feel but yet the right amount of luxury. I saw several guests with dogs and families with small children. They have a nice pool and hot tub with towels provided. 5-9 pm M-S happy hour at their bar with 2$ cocktails & beer . I have to mention a gentleman that was there until late when we checked in and was also there first thing in the morning. This guy was unbelievable! From working at the desk, to cleaning , running food out and much more . Jack of all trades but with an amazing attitude and smile for someone who’s obviously overworked. I believe his name was Mr. Holmes and definitely deserves props . He made a world of difference. It did seem they were a bit short staffed during the happy hour and breakfast but you’d never notice due to the teamwork and positive staff . Best complimentary breakfast I’ve had at any small hotel . Chef preparing omelettes and small waffles and self serve bacon , sausage and eggs . Cereal bowls , milk , coffee and muffins. 24hr free hot coffee in lobby . Super nice fitness room and small laundry . Amazing rooms in pristine condition with super comfortable bedding , ice cold air , microwave and fridge. Large restroom with oversized round tub perfect for a relaxing bubble bath . The patio was decorated beautifully with lights , fire pits and water features. Very tasteful modern decoration all throughout. We were super tired after long day in the sun at my sons tournament and it was perfect to unwind in the beautiful outdoor setting . Very quiet place . I highly recommend this hotel and I’m looking forward to coming back with my family soon . Thank you for making our stay so pleasant at such an affordable price and to all the employees for being so hospitable though...
Read moreThere are a lot of great things about the hotel. The hotel is very corporate in feel, neither warm or cold - rather sterile and nondescript (which is fine in general). The rooms are very spacious which is a huge plus as there is room to move around and open your luggage without tripping over things. The staff, in general, is nice and very helpful when needed. The access to tea and coffee at all times is a nice touch. The location is good and provides easy access to a lot of San Marcos and Carlsbad. The rooms are well insulated so it is quiet as well - great if you are a light sleeper. The cost of the room is reasonable making it an affordable stay. Having breakfast included is a wonderful bonus. The area that needs the most improvement is the breakfast set up and staffing. The hotel seems short staffed at times and it shows, especially during breakfast time. The set up does not flow at all so it is confusing to know where to stand to get the items you want. A quick cereal and yogurt bar is placed right where one lines up to order a custom omelette. The traffic backs up quite a bit here. It makes it difficult to grab cereal for those who just want that, and as there is only one person making omelettes, there is an unnecessary cluster of people waiting around to place their order and grab their omelette. A buffet bar would perhaps be more suitable for the hotel. There is also not enough seating for people in the winter time as it can be cold to sit outside. The wifi is also a bit slow and the system often bumps you off. It is also rather difficult to figure out how the television works to change the channels in a way that makes sense. There are no housekeeping services after 5pm. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would...
