So before I came here, like everyone else, I read the reviews. I had mixed feelings but it was last minute so my family and I decided to do it. I must say we are pleased with the visit. Wanna warn everyone, there are 2 floors but no elevator. So just plan accordingly. I gave the rooms a 4. The room was clean when we got in. They have a fridge and microwave. Both decent size and clean. There are 2 drawers to put clothes in. No closet. We are a family of 5 so we just pulled from our suitcase. They did have hangers, an ironing board, and an iron. The ac did run low, but it kept the room cool. You could definitely feel the difference, especially on these warm days. They have roku TV's in the room. They do have cable put if you want to watch Netflix, hulu, etc. Just log in. We had a hiccup, but Jen helped us, apologized, and we got it done. The biggest issue for me was the bathroom part for the toilet and shower. It is a small area with no vent fan. So if you take a hot shower, it gets hot, but the water does have to be HOT. I'm 5'8", and I'm sorry the toilet looks like it is for a hobbit. I mean, it served it's purpose but whoever decided to put that in, well, they need a talking to lol. The beds and pillows, nothing special. I like a firmer mattress, so it wasn't an issue for me. The pillows, I mean you can tell they are not the best, but they do the job. The breakfast is nice. Nothing fancy, but they have sausage eggs, waffles, cereal bagels, apple, and cranberry juice yogurt and string cheese. Coffee is available all day with creamers and flavored syrup. The pool and hot tub are nice. The pool is, in my opinion, a very good nice. Along with the hot tub. It was clean, and towels were always available, even if we had to ask. There is even a separate bathroom with a shower. They let you know right away housekeeping is by request for the duration of your stay. It's easier for them to know the night before as well. My thought is because there are not a lot of staff, so they want a good count, ya know. I didn't mind that because I'm not a shy person, so if we need extra trash bags or whatever, I'll just ask. They also have a laundry for guests. $1.50 wash and $1.50 dry. Speed queens too, so an excellent quality machine. At the end of the hall on the 1st floor there are vending machines and ice. One machine is soda and Gatorade. The other is snacks and then the ice machine. Prices are the same as gas stations for the items. The staff were great. Friendly, forward, and willing to help. Shout out to Marcia and Jen. Keep doing your thing, lol. The location is nice, too. Right next to a grocery store, mcdonald's, culvers, walgreens, and a stop n go. 2 min drive to Dollar General. I left this detailed review to give an all-around idea for everyone. My family...
Read moreVery run down and dirty hotel. The whole place is in shambles (from the rooms to the pool). To make matters worse there was blood on our sheets and comforter upon arrival. It was obvious the bedding had not been cleaned prior to our stay. We stayed for 2 nights and when we asked for more toilet paper the workers seemed annoyed. The hot tub was lukewarm. The pool is falling apart and some kids got fiber glass embedded in their feet from the bottom of the pool. The caliber of other guests staying there is very poor. Guests were swearing in front of other guests, children, and the staff in the dining breakfast area. The staff never said one word to the guest loudly, repeatedly swearing. The back door to the hotel does not shut completely and remains unlocked. It was a serious safety issue. I would never recommend stepping foot in this...
Read moreThis place was fantabulous! I REALLY dig the waffle machines for breakfast at all of the Wyndham suite of hotels (yum). The rooms were nice; all 2 beds (I believe queen). There was no closet but that just made the room more spacious. Large wide screen TV and fridge. A pool downstairs behind the lobby.
I went there for work in a straight truck so parking was a little tight. Otherwise, reception was extremely hospitable.
Also, there are a ton of food places nearby. The only downside is, most of them close at 8 or 9pm. There was even an A&W, and a Culver's that closes at 11pm 😳!!. Not to worry though, there's a outlet mall about 15 minutes away by car. We had Applebees!
There's also an Active Fitness gym a 5 minute drive away...
