We stayed in room 10 two nights At first glance, the house is adorable and the grounds are clean. We paid $300+ I cant remember the exact amount because the owner had me send her the full payment by check in the mail when we booked our reservation about 5 months earlier. The staff was nice and welcoming. Our first batch of bad news came when the owner told us that the health inspector said that she cannot serve the expected breakfast due to Covid. We opted to take care of our own breakfast rather than receive the prepackaged fruit and muffin option, but no discount was offered. Then we were warned about the jacuzzi needing 2 inches of water above the spouts to work, which we tried a long with may other attempts to get it to work to no avail. We could only get the lights in it to work. The old red carpet and tub looked like they had not been cleaned recently as there were little bugs, moths and dirt about. It was evident that Christmas decorations had been held in the closet in our room because the remnants were trailed down the stairs. Yes, the bathroom is up the stairs from the bedroom which is cute except when you have to use it in the middle of the night and the night lights along the stairs do not work. It is not tall person or handicap friendly. The bed was so unco6the first night that we looked under the sheets in the morning. We were sleeping on the box because the mattress had been turned over! We pulled it up to see the pillow top side which was covered in stains. Assuming that was why the mattress was turned over we left it and suffered through sleeping on the box our second night considering the payment had long gone through and just wishing to get through the weekend in peace. Getting a new mattress or turning it back over and using a mattress cover could remedy the issue. The staff did bring us clean towels after our first night and made the bed but they also took it upon themselves to repack All of our things and shove Everything into the closet or Move things up to the bathroom! It was an invasion of privacy and all together strange as we attempted to relocate our misplaced items around the room. We almost couldn't find my husband's pjs until we found them hanging under his suit vest in the closet. The televisions take a bit of finesse to get the variety of remotes in sync. We kept having trouble with the cable going out on the TV over the bed but got it to work by messing with the wiring the second night. It rained our second night which was So Loud hitting the A.C. unit connected to the room. The gutters were connected so the rain was coming through a hole. It was like someone was slamming pots and pans in the room for hours. On a positive note, there is a microwave down the hall and a refrigerator in the bedroom. The linens were clean and the stained class was beautiful. The yard is well kept and the front door locking mechanism that only allows guests in at night...

My family members wanted a getaway for the weekend and chose to stay at this B&B. They left a credit card number to secure the reservation but told the owner (Candice Dyer) they would be paying cash for their stay.

When they arrived, they called Candice to find out what they needed to do to check in and asked for the WiFi password. They received instructions and were told by Candice that she would place an envelope under their room door with the wifi password on it. Candice doesn't stay around all the time and she asked my family to just put the money for their stay into the wifi password envelope and slip it under the kitchen door. My family planned to stay for 3 nights, plus meals, so they placed $1,000 cash into this envelope and slipped it under the kitchen door. The stay was going to be in the $600 range but my family was ok with just settling the bill at the end of their stay.

The room appeared nice but was very hot. (My family went and purchased a fan to more comfortably get through the night). The jacuzzi tub (which was a major feature that my family rented the room for) was useless. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 8:30am, but as of 9:30am, no breakfast nor contact regarding the delay. My family decided they wanted to check out early. They reached out to Candice and stated they would like to check out.

Candice then told my family, there was no money in the envelope that was put under the kitchen door and they would need to pay $600 (the cost for 3 nights plus meals) despite only staying 16 hours and receiving no food. My family reminded Candice they had put $1,000 in the envelope, both members of my family being witness to the 'transaction' that Candice instructed them to do. Candice stated that she was the only person with a key to the kitchen and that there was no money in that envelope.

My family was devastated and began crying while trying to figure out what to do. Candice called the police. Candice disengaged from my family from this point on. My family explained their story to the police, knowing they would have to pay for the stay again. The police were going to attempt to search Candice and the area for the cash that my family had left. Many hours had passed by then so my family knew it was hopeless. They paid an additional $600 and went on their way.

Candice is a terrible person and has devastated me and my family. This is such a criminal attack on caring decent people who live everyday doing right by everyone in their path. While I know we will never get this money back, I ask that you never stay here and listen to this warning. The place is called Angel's Nest yet functions more closely to...

A friend purchased a stay here at the Angel's nest under Groupon for us as a gift. We were so excited to get to use it and get away for a weekend without small children in tow. I called to schedule a reservation for June and paid $63.44 for the "occupancy tax". We had an immediate relative who became very ill and placed on hospice during this time so we had to call to cancel and explained we would call back to reschedule when things calmed down and we were able to get away. We spent the next several weeks driving back and forth each weekend to see our dying relative. He just recently passed away and things have somewhat calmed down so that we could finally get away and get out of town. I called the Angel's Nest to see if we could book our reservation again but we were out of the time frame that the promotional value expired which was7-31-2014. I understand that we weren't able to make reservations and keep them during the time frame that was mentioned in the Groupon fine print so I asked if we could just get back the "occupancy tax" fee that I had paid over the phone originally when we booked our room reservation for June. Seeing as how we had not stayed there and weren't going to be able to use the Groupon that was purchased this seemed the least they could do. I was informed that they would NOT refund me and that if I wanted to stay there they would apply this payment towards the cost of the room but that we would have to pay the difference which could be $125/per night for a room PLUS have to pay the occupancy tax again all over!! This is ridiculous!!! I tried to explain to the woman on the phone the situation that we had been in hoping that she could find it in her heart to be kind and either let us still use our reservation or at least refund us the occupancy tax fee and they could keep the money they received from the Groupon but it fell on deaf ears. I would NOT recommend this destination for mere a lack of consideration, a lack of understanding and a complete insensitivity to problems that arise in our lives that are out of our control. The death of a family member is an act of God and cannot be helped. One would hope that a business would be compassionate to these matters and give...

This is the second and third stay review s. This was our second stay this year! I really wanted to keep it a secret to make it easier to get a room without any difficulty. Yes I was being selfish. This b and b is wonderful for relaxation and the breakfast has always been great. We stayed in room 2 and has been upgraded on the patio for privacy with plants and two walls double latuce panels added. That made the privacy factor even better. The room also has its own private entrance and access to the yard so our dog could easily go outside to an fenced area. Our last day we were told that Cheryl (the house keeper) was leaving to take care of family. I'm sure she will ne missed. With that said Angel's Nest is looking to hire some new staff with house keeping experience and should apply directly to the web page for Angel's Nest. We will be back to visit for another stay soon.******OK we came back for our honeymoon in Jan.2019. Booked a room prior to our arrival date. On arrival we found out we had been moved back to a room we had previously stayed in. Candayce was sick so we couldn't talk with her. Breakfast was late all 3days we stayed. On our 2nd morning we were told they had over booked rooms and we had to move to the original room we had asked for. On our departure date Candayce appeared served breakfast and was leaving the property as we were loading up to leave. We have spent $1900.00 here in 10 months and we were so disappointed in how we were treated. I didn't like that breakfast was late every day. The wrong rooms was set up at arrival, and having to move on the last day to be spent here. Candayce isn't available to speak with so much of the time.. I'm not sure if we will spend $600. For 3day stays any longer.

This is a beautiful location with excellent customer service. The room was nice but there were several minor things that kept me from giving it 5 stars. For example, the toilet was very difficult to flush and the water pressure is really bad. We didn't report it because we were only staying one night. Long term, the toilet would have been an issue. There were also places that needed painting. However, it was clean, comfortable, and I feel like we will be going back. The Jacuzzi tub has a sprayer on it that you can use to bathe, but, again, water pressure is terrible and the knobs were confusing so we accidentally sprayed the entire bathroom when we turned it on by accident. The tub also has a sprayer that runs while the tub is running and it sprayed across the tub and out the other side. We had to cover it to use it. Parking was plenty large. The grounds are beautiful. The staff was sweet and accommodating. Breakfast was good and delivered promptly at the time requested. It was an enjoyable evening.
