Although this place is beautiful, the āmanagerā Melissa is a nightmare. She was extremely rude to my family and I when we were taking pictures (with our phones) of my little sister. We came in on a Saturday (March 16) but there was a sign saying event was cancelled because of the rain. I called the office and they said we could still come, when we paid, the office said if the rain got too bad we could come back on Sunday. As we started walking around the rain became too heavy so we left and came back the next day (Sunday). When we were there Melissa came out and asked if we were taking pictures, I said yes, we have been taking some with our phones and explained when we came the day before the office person said we could come in today (Sunday) if the rain got too bad. Melissa laughed and said no, there was no one there yesterday they closed because of the weather. I then let her know about calling on Saturday and explained everything. She then laughed at us and said āshe knows what happened, sheās the managerā she continued to mock us and walked away. I then went to the office where Melissa was and showed her my bank account where I had been charged on Saturday, she continued to argue saying āIām the manager, no one was hereā. I told her I didnāt appreciate her insinuating that I am lying, when I am clearly have proof of us being there, how else would I have been charged on Saturday??? Melissa continued to argue saying she never once called me liar, and I explained how she insinuated we were lying to her. Apparently she doesnāt know what insinuated means, because no, she never outright called me a liar, but she argued saying we werenāt there. Anyways, the point of this review is the hope that Weatherford educates their āmanagerā on how to appropriately handle situations, coming to my family and mocking us in front of others was not okay, and then insinuating we lied to her when there was clear proof, was also not okay. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was pretty amazing! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and he had personal history which was really quaint. I was with a garden group doing a tour. I would really like to come back and just sit and contemplate life. There were so many nooks and crannies where you could enjoy the scenery, cool off and listen to the fountains and waterfalls. They have events here as well and it would be an amazing place for a wedding or other reception. There is lots of room for guests. The bathrooms are nice and very clean with 3 stalls in the women's room and 2 stalls in the men's. While not completely accessible for wheelchairs, there is a portion of areas that are accessible. Lots of steps here and there would make it hard for anyone in a wheelchair to see the entire garden. For older people with trouble walking, it would be doable, depending on your mobility. The benches that are scattered throughout the garden are helpful if you need to stop and rest, or wait for your party. It is a small enough place you could see everything in about an hour, however there are so many plants, shrubs and trees to look at we were there for 3 hours and I would have liked to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just never new such a cool, relaxing and beautiful place existed just a few blocks away from the beautiful Weatherford downtown court house building š parking is super easy just steps away from the gardens and free and the gardens super relaxing with many places to sit down and enjoy. We had a few questions about the gardens and were able to discuss it with the very knowledgeable ground keeper Cody. This place certainly punches way above its weight and I would recommend to anyone in the Weatherford area to plan for visiting and enjoying the beauty of the place for whatever time you can. The entrance fee was 5$ per adult with free parking⦠Iād happily pay several times that much a person to get in next time I am in the area. Great great value⦠placing it right there with the value of the Japanese Garden in Fort Worth botanical...
