This hotel is easily one of the best I have stayed at and practically unbeatable for the price! It was under construction for remodeling when I visited but this only minimally impacted the visit. Both the lobby and my room were modernized and looked great! My only criticism of the room I stayed in is that it could be better lit as there were only a few dim fixtures throughout. The hotel is pet-friendly and provided a nice stay for humans and a 15-pound dog. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have experienced and the spread include fruit, bagels, cereals, yogurt, scrambled eggs, and bacon, among other items. There were also a pair of waffle makers and staff members who would make eggs to order. These staff members were extremely friendly and helpful and certainly contributed to a good day's start. This would probably be a five-star review if the few inches of snow that accumulated overnight had not come along. I don't think the area is used to getting heavy snowfall but, regardless, feel that the staff could have done more to keep pathways to the lobby clear. Instead, one had to step very carefully due to the curbs and any other dangers that hid under the snow. Overall, it was a great stay!

We checked in after a long day of driving and were excited to go swimming with the kids. Unfortunately the pool was closed because it needed to be shocked after the storms. That was disappointing but not the hotel’s fault. But then we checked into the room…and we were horrified. There were dirty footprints all over the hard floor, and DOZENS of dead bugs all over: the floor, dresser, window sill, etc. It was disgusting. I let Jimmy at the front desk know, and he was very apologetic and professional. He showed me two other rooms into which my family could check, but they had bugs all over too. I don’t know if the doors had been left open at some point, or if they had recently been sprayed for pests, but regardless, we didn’t want to stay or sleep in a dead-bug filled room. So Jimmy let us cancel our reservation without penalty. We drove 15 minutes down the road and found a much cleaner hotel with a pool that was actually open.

Booked last minute on a trip cross-country, and I'm so glad I did! The hotel is freshly remodeled and feels so home-y. None of the sterile white rooms and bathrooms that make hotel stays so boring. The rooms have texture and warmth, and the bed is super comfy. The shower was awesome - super hot water and sliding glass doors instead of a curtain. Everything was very clean. The hotel is super dog-friendly - my pup got a giftbag at check-in, which she appreciated. We were able to walk downtown for dinner with ease and did laundry on-site. I didn't visit the pool, but it looked fantastic. Breakfast hours are long, and the buffet is wonderful. The kitchen staff will even make custom omelets to order. Everyone I encountered was super friendly and helpful, from the kitchen staff to the housekeepers to checkout with Jimmy. If I'm ever in town again, I'll definitely return.

Three Strikes. This hotel used to be a little gem. Unfortunately new ownership in the Fall of 2024 has transformed this place into an establishment we will no longer stay at. This was our third stay under the new ownership and probably 12 stays prior. First, we went to the front desk four times including check-in and only saw a sign saying “we are helping other guests” on three of those occasions. Though the young lady working was very polite. She did give us our preferred room which we always appreciate as we can back our SUV right up to the door. They were out of water (2nd time in the last 3 stays) and not recognized as an Elite BW member.

The fitness center is beautiful, but this time only dirty/used towels, no water and no cups. Someone, not sure if an employee or friend of an employee, hunted down a couple of towels for me. The Precor elliptical is great, but in need of maintenance as it makes very loud clunks.

The internet was only 14 Mbps which was a complaint from last January which made streaming not viable. The TV also was blurry which I complained about 10 months ago. Watching football was hard as the players’ numbers were not readable and the scores and times were only partially visible.

Breakfast used to be very nice. I assume in efforts to save money, you have to order eggs (only omelets available) and only a few donut holes and mini-bagels in the usual BW display. Juices were out of order. Pancakes were out of order. Other items readily available at our other BW stops were not available. Gladly the coffee machine worked.

We asked when the bar/restaurant would open and were told 5 pm. We went over at 6 and not open. We were told the employee did not show up. I thought part of the Best Western Plus designation was that you had to have an eating/drinking establishment.

Finally, this hotel’s parking lot used to be packed as was the breakfast and dinner hour. Not so anymore, so we must not be the only one’s who have noticed a huge change.

We have not left a Google review in the past as the new owner assured me these things (internet, TVs, and breakfast) would be addressed. That was nine months ago. Fortunately, our next stop at a BW in Moriarity NM was fantastic: huge room, great check-in experience, and nice breakfast. Oh, and we could watch both Direct TV clearly and stream our TV shows. No restaurant so no BW Plus designation, but a far better experience.

We will look at reviews from time to time to see if BW Weatherford shows improvement, but until then we will...

Please believe all the recent one star reviews. This place is not the 5 star place it used to be. I booked many months ago with American Airlines miles I had. The reviews were sparkling! Shortly before our trip, I looked up the address and saw a google review admonishing the place. I thought it was a one-off, so I changed the reviews page to most recent and saw several terrible reviews and that's when I started to get nervous. We showed up around 5pm on July 2nd and there was nobody to be found at the check-in desk or lobby. I walked around and called out for someone: no answer. I called the hotel: no answer. Finally, I walked around outside and found someone to help me. We checked in and went to dinner. When I came back, we finally got a good look at the room and my family was disgusted. The room was in disrepair and I couldn't even lock the door because it was so off kilter from being what looked like kicked in. I felt totally uncomfortable staying there. I could see light coming through the door top, side, and bottom. The a/c was running but the room was not cold. People were constantly smoking outside and the smoke was just coming right in through our a/c. After an hour and a half, we decided to just leave and find another hotel. I called the front desk and told the lady we wouldn't be staying. She said she would call the owner and ask if we could have a refund because of the issues we had encountered. She said she would call me back. I gave her my phone number but never heard from her or any of the hotel staff again. No refund of my miles. When we checked into our nice, clean hotel across town and told them where we had come from, the lady at that front desk echoed what the reviews of this hotel have said recently: new ownership and it has all gone down hill. She said they used to recommend people to this hotel when they were full, but they no longer do that. Take it from me- I wouldn't stay in this hotel for FREE. And if you decide to come and have an issue with your stay, it likely will not...

JUST BOOK IT, AMAZING! We cannot say enough great things about this property. First and foremost, the owners are there all the time, and tended to us like new/old friends for both stays in one week (yup, loved it enough to book for the return trip . . . more on that later). Most important, the entire property is incredibly clean, well kept and VERY safe (It's next door to the city's police complex). The rooms were immaculate. My wife commented that the shower was probably the cleanest she has ever seen in a property (and we travel often). And they think of everything! The shower had a small ledge built in a corner at about shin level to put your foot on to make it easier to clean legs and feet. That's a property owner solving a problem for you that you didn't know you had. That attention to detail is everywhere on the property. There is a small bar/restaurant on the property. We were tired, so just wandered the few steps from our room to it. Wow were we surprised. The menu is not extensive, but the food was excellent ad very inexpensive. One of the items, the flat bread pizza was so good that on our return trip we actually ordered one extra to put in our cooler for dinner when we returned home (and I just finished it here at home and it was excellent reheated!) But even more important is the included breakfast. Who makes you made to order eggs and omelets? Plus homemade breakfast tamales and biscuits and gravy! But need to once again say it comes down to owner. He was at the front desk each time we checked in (a week apart). The second time, when I approached the desk, he greeted me by name and welcomed me back. As I said earlier, we felt like we were returning to stay with...
