Chicken Express — Restaurant in Weatherford

I ate here a few months ago and the service was great, but I ate here again today and can say the service has went WAY DOWNHILL since that previous experience. Took about 15 minutes for them to complete my order (only ordered a combo meal). They weren't busy at all, just 2 other patrons in their dining room and maybe 3 cars at best in their drive thru lane. Their soda machine had 3 post it notes over 3 separate flavors indicating they were out. More than likely due to employee laziness of not wanting to replace the beverages. I asked for dipping sauce, and the sauce that was given to me, was barely dippable due to it barely reaching thawing temperature. One employee was playing with his cellphone in the kitchen area while clearly on duty. I've been to many Chicken Express locations, but have never seen any with conditions this subpar. Management doesn't seem to care what their employees do, as long as they exert minimalist effort to complete each required task. The work ethic here is non-existent. I feel like I should've received some level of compensation for my unreasonably long wait time, when I could clearly see no viable reason for my order to have taken so long. For everything I have witnessed that was wrong, I can only fathom what other horrors likely exist for what I can not see. Avoid this place....

This Location is the only Chicken Place in town. So everyone was super excited when they found out this place was coming. I will say this I love the Menu here.. With sides like 'Fried Okra', 'Corn On the Cob', 'Mini Popper','Fried Pickle Slice' ! I will also say .... The Prices are Very High here.! when I was told my one meal totaled a little over 15 dollars .. I honestly thought he was playing with me... One Combo Meal! I expected it to be a bit more then a combo from a burger joint, since chicken cost more.. I would probably give a better comment if the Chicken was as great as it was hyped to be..! all three times i walked in to a dirt dinning room with over full trash cans , was served by the same manager who has no people skills but excels in rude... While serving me over rated cafeteria quality food. The Fried Okra and Pickles couldn't get me to go back...

This is was on October 5th and this is a copy of the email we sent to the owners. Still have not heard anything back.

We just spent 15 minutes waiting in the drive thru line, after being told we would only have a 4 minute wait. The restaurant was not busy, and the employees were too busy standing around talking and eating food straight off the line to even let us know our wait time would be extended. When my husband was finally able to get the cashier’s attention and request our money back, he was told that they didn’t know how to refund the money back to our bank card. We will not being eating there again, which is sad, because when this restaurant first opened here, it was our favorite place to eat.

The prices are too high for “fast” food chicken. The employees are terrible at what they do. Hope the owner knows how this affects their...
