The service at this hotel was terrible. I do not recommend staying here if you have any other option.
We have two small children and we were given a room on the second floor (there is no elevator), so we needed to carry our bags, pack n' play, etc up the stairs. Our room keys didn't work initially, but were fixed on the second try.
There were multiple maintenance issues with the room when we arrived: the chair and toilet seat were broken. The couch was quite worn and torn in a few places. They exchanged our broken chair quickly when asked.
There was also black mold starting to appear on the walls near the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathroom did not have a fan, so the moisture from showers is likely causing the mold. The bathroom has a false ceiling and there is a vent, but no fan, so it looked like the vent was just an opening into the space above the false ceiling. There was extensive rusting on the metal pieces of the false ceiling (from the accumulation of moisture?).
The hot tub was not working and the pool was very cold. We have family in town and the hotel charged them $10 per person (including small children) to use the cold in-door pool--$50 total for a 1-hour swim. The $50 seemed excessive given the broken hot tub and cold water in the pool. When I spoke to the manager about it to see if we could get at least a partial refund, he was incredibly rude. He told us we should leave the hotel (at 7pm) if we didn't like the policy and just walked away angrily.
They didn't offer cleaning services for multi-night stays, but did mention you can request additional supplies as needed. We requested additional garbage bags and regularly took out our garbage since we had children in diapers.
Our room was on the back of the hotel, so we had a nice view of the...
Read moreStayed here since it was close to a wedding venue we were attending .We had reserved a handicapped room since my husband is still recovering from a broken leg and requires a walker. The moderate-sized room was very clean and we appreciated the large bathroom, easy to maneuver with walker. He bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Loved the gorgeous bedside lamps. also a nice shade/drape window combo. There was no lighting in the room entry way and overall room lighting was inadequate. Very dim lights in bathroom, not suitable for shaving, etc. Made it difficult to prepare to go to a wedding. When we arrived both handicapped spots were taken. Seemed that one was being utilized by an employee with a "baby on board" sign. The racks for the fridge shelves were missing, so hard to utilize fridge for the three days. Very strange toilet handle, when I inquired at the desk that it would not flush, he came to the room and instructed that I needed to hold down hard on the lever until it flushed. He felt it was apparently necessary to repeat this in a stern manner several times and that it was not anything that would be eventually changed. Anytime I went to the desk to inquire bout anything like where I might locate a restaurant or food delivery, the person at the desk had apparently been instructed to repeat everything in the language of the (?mgr) a man sitting on the couch in the front lounge area with what appeared to have some sort of leg injury with crutches. There was usually another person sitting there with him who was always on a cell phone speaking rapidly and LOUDLY in another language . Breakfast had the THINNEST possible paper plates they could have, making it difficult to hold any food with...
Read moreStayed for a wedding. I was here four years ago and it was fantastic. This time I waited a solid 10 minutes for someone to answer the calls for check in. The man who checked me in came from an employee only room with another individual who exited and stood off to the side waiting for us to leave. The man who checked us in seemed very annoyed, like we inconvenienced him with whatever was going on before he came out. We had gone up to our room to get ready to leave and not even 15 minutes later when we left, both the worker and the individual were nowhere to be seen again.
Breakfast was basically nonexistent. They had fruit cups in a plastic container but that’s all I could see from a distance.
I know COVID is still raging and there are guidelines to follow and everywhere is hiring, but as someone who’s always worked in customer service, I think they need to be a bit more prompt and attentive and explain about breakfast and the pool before waving us off to go back to any personal affairs they...
