This should have been named The Karen Winery. Even though we were vaccinated and respected the mask policy, the lady doing the tastings was very unfriendly and kept making unnecessary snide comments. It felt like she was trying to get in an argument with the customers. We had no issues about the rules, it's all about the delivery. You can choose to say things nicely or be rude. We didn't understand why she was being that way when we respected everything. When we parked our car it started rolling down the hill. We now know that was a sign we should have left. They could have easily put the tastings on a board and let us go away from the counter either outside or at a far table to sample. That's what all the other wineries were doing. The gentleman was very nice and we felt sorry for him to be working with sourpuss. There wasn't many people at this winery and a lot at Tenba Ridge and Bemis Bluffs. We highly recommend those. We did not care for any of the wine we had sampled. After our experience, now we know why the others were busy and they were not. When you run a place that is to sell wines, you should be welcoming and inviting. I'm sure they get people that might challenge the rules, but I don't understand why she needed to be rude to people that were friendly, respectful and complied with the list of rules. We will not be back and will not be recommending this winery. I wish I would have read the reviews about the rudeness before we went. **In response to winery's response... We clearly said we had no issues with your mask mandates. What we had issue with is how we were treated and the snide comments. You kept going on and on when we were trying to sample and enjoy your wine while following your rules. You clearly don't understand that you get more with sugar than vinegar. We were happy to follow your rules, but were still not welcomed even though you said differently. Also wineries are more than wine, they are about the WHOLE experience. We tried to give constructive feedback so you don't alienate others, but you can't see what you did wrong. If you treated us respectfully and been nice it would have been a very different experience. Instead of all the snide comments and going on and on, it would have been nice to hear more about the wines. **

This winery was okay. The vibe was chill but also a little off. Maybe it felt weird because there were few people when we arrived, it was a holiday, and they weather wasn't great. The wines were fine and they had a decent snack selection. The people we talked with were friendly enough. I could see the space being a nice place for a small wedding or anniversary party. Note: The winery is not accessible. It is located on top of a grassy hill with wooden steps.

This was a very nice winery, truly out in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive. Tiffany our wine server was great and enjoyed our wine tasting with her. I will say they had some of the best wine choices and they tasted excellent. We were happy to bring several bottles home for later. It is grass parking, so I have to imagine if it rains it could be a bit more challenging. Overall a good experience and would recommend as a stop for you next wine tour.

I called to inquire about a silent auction donation for a local event and the owner, Sherrie, very rudely responded that she and her husband pay over $50k a year for healthcare and until the government fixes it, they're not in a position to donate. A simple "no" would've been sufficient. And to the owner, no, my review has nothing to do with your wine. I see that's your response to most people who have submitted bad reviews. It makes no difference if the wine is good or not when the customer service is atrocious.

response to the owner I've had a few businesses say no. They've met their donation quota for the year, whatever the case is, I have never left a 1 star review for them because they were at least pleasant about it.

As far as the financial aspect, you own a business. You know the risks/rewards of doing so. Rudely spouting off about your out of pocket healthcare costs is not the problem of your patrons or potential patrons. Majority of all the donations I've received are from small businesses in the same boat you are.

It's unfortunate that rather than simply saying "we're not interested in donating," you made it about yourself and felt entitled to be...

We had no phone service, not spotty, none for 1 hour out of the area of the winery. We were not told of free wifi. No messaging, no internet, so if there was free wifi, it should have been stated at the time we arrived at the inn. Esp for safety and security reasons, this is 2017. Thanks for your help. Nice winery and you were nice hosts. This is nice bed and breakfast. Very clean, food was good. The wine is fabulous and nice décor of the winery. Mainly sweet wines but very smooth tasting. Good prices. The main drawback is there is no Internet Service. We had no phone service at all, until we drove 20-30 miles away from the Inn. We were NOT told that before hand. Beds were comfy and fairly firm. The other drawback is the closest restaurant is 7 miles away, and only that had bar food. It was just ok. Other restaurants are at least 14 miles away or you have to go to Lacrosse. This made the location of the Inn less desirable for us. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful. This Inn and Winery is in a very remote area. Nice scenery. Not sure would go back again, due to...
