This was by far the WORST hotel stay of my life. When I first reached my room, the keycards didn’t work. No big deal initially, I just had them reset. However, this was a reoccurring event throughout my entire stay. There was blood on BOTH beds! The front desk clerk was very apologetic and said she’d have new bedding brought up since there were no other rooms available. While waiting the 10-15 minutes, I looked around the bathroom and found blood there too! Once the front desk clerk brought the bedding, I showed her both the beds and the bathroom. Again, she was very apologetic and said she’d let her manager know. She then proceeded to have ME take the bedding off of both beds and REMAKE them! I was floored! But, at that point, it was 11 PM and my two boys were ready to sleep after a long drive. There were multiple red stains on the carpet and eyelashes from the previous guest on the nightstand. The clerk said she’d make sure housekeeping come & do a “deep clean” first thing the next morning. We left around 8:30 AM Saturday morning and returned around noon. No cleaning had been done. When I asked the clerk about it, she said that housekeeping had done the “deep clean” requested. I let her know that was false because our towels were still on the floor to switch out & everything looked exactly the same - including the blood in the bathroom. She said she’d “let them know”. No one ever came. To top it off, there was an ant infestation! And it wasn’t just my room. While checking out Sunday morning, I was behind a lady who was also upset about the ants. Apparently, she was told that they’d have maintenance come spray but they never showed. The front desk tried telling her they came by, but the lady refuted the statement. There’s a running theme here. They’ll tell you they did something but didn’t! To pay the amount I did for a bloody room and insect infestation is...
Read moreThis was our second stay at this hotel in the past five years (both times for funerals), and while the room was okay, the staff truly stood out. When we called down for extra towels, they arrived quickly, and overall, the staff were polite and helpful.
However, we did encounter a few issues. The refrigerator had been left unplugged, and when we opened it to store drinks, water from the defrosted freezer spilled all over the floor. Also, the cleaning crew somehow set off the smoke alarm in the room across the hall, leading to a staff member waving a pillow at the detector until it turned off. Definitely an odd incident.
Our room was near the elevator, so there was a faint smell of smoke wafting up from the designated smoking area by the back door. Additionally, a college sports team was staying there, and their running up and down the halls all night was pretty disruptive.
As for the hotel bar, $16 for two beers seemed excessive, but after an 11-hour drive, the convenience was hard to pass up. The beds were comfortable, but if you drop something behind the bed, just leave it there. Underneath was super gross—food wrappers, something sticky, and just generally neglected.
Breakfast was a highlight, offering a good variety of foods, and the staff kept everything well-stocked. Just be prepared to deal with the usual chaos from other guests, because people are generally awful.
All in all, despite the quirks, we’d probably stay here again if we...
Read moreI booked this hotel mainly due to location. I knew it was close to the East Warren Theater but didn't know it was as close as it was. I knew it would be too late to do anything else when we got to town so we planned to see a movie after we got to town and knew it'd be easier if we got a hotel nearby.
Turns out there was a lot of young gymnasts and their parents also staying at this hotel that weekend. It wasn't a problem for us because we were mainly there late and only heard them in the morning. We did consider the breakfast and pool but nixed it because they caused it to be crowded. This wasn't the hotels fault so we didn't knock the rating for it.
The design of the king suite we reserved was incredibly modern and ergonomic. The staff at the desk informed me that it's mostly business class and convention goers that stay there so it makes sense. The room seemed much bigger with the way it was set up. There was a desk splitting up the room between the bed and the couch and it had a dividing partition that could be moved. The tv could swivel to be seen from the couch or the bed. The bed was comfortable and the sink had real glasses and not plastic ones! The hotel was clean and had free wifi that worked great which I needed to set up my new laptop I purchased that weekend. With the way the room looked I felt like I got a great...
