The Alley Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Wichita

First, if you’re going to buy a bar, I’d advise that the first thing you may want to do is see what the customers liked and enjoyed.

This place used to be amazing. 32oz beers, great pizza, and awesome chicken tenders and waffle fries. We would go at least once a week or get carry out. WeI went last night with the new ownership and sadly will not be returning.

Beers are now smaller. Probably 22oz for the same price. Kids’ drinks were $4.59 EACH. The pizza has completely changed. Tastes like any other commercially made pizza. The fried pickles are now 50% less in quantity but for the same price. The worst are the chicken tenders. These have completely changed and are now basically cut up chunks of chicken breast instead of the entire whole actual tenderloin that it used to be.

All of this for $125 for five people. Yikes.

A "Super Cheesy" Burger as named on the menu that looks better than it tastes. Two slices of cheese on two burger patties = "Super Cheesy?' No, no it doesn't. And you don't do bacon in an 'X' you don't get bacon in every bite. Do half slices side by side or shape the bacon into triangles then cook it. Customers get a far better burger experience with very little time added to prep. And while the burger and fries were good but far from great and on a slow Sunday, the service was less than attentive. Jessica was friendly, but was slow to bring out my burger, I had to ask for a drink refill and it took forever to get my ticket so I could settle up. You would think a basket with a dirty napkin in it set far to the side along with an empty mug would be a hint for her to come over and ask if I needed anything else.... Recently visited AJs. Sat at a booth next to the bar it took the gentleman 10 minutes or more to greet us and apparently he was not or server took another 10 minutes for a strange looking girl who was or server... To take our drink order and didn't return to take our order. She instead stood at the bar watering or time while she and two other people did around gossiping Amor a co worker completely unprofessional.. It literally made me sick to my stomach.
