From the outside, My Place Suites looks like a motel from the 1950s on Route 66. However, inside the rooms are great. We had the suite with the kitchen. This gave us a separate bedroom. While we ended up doing no cooking, everything was there if we wanted to. ||The bed is HUGE and comfortable. Bathroom is fine. The whole suite was very clean; absolutely zero dust and this town is a bit dusty.||I wish I remember the hosts name. Really nice kid who made sure we got in okay, knew how to work the shower, etc.||The only thing that is a slight challenge is the small parking lot. With cowboys staying at the hotel, everyone has a truck or something big. We ended up in the evening just parking on the street right next to the hotel. Zero problems with that.||If you require 3-4 types of Himalayan pink bath salt, this is not your motel - just drive on down to Phoenix. If you want just a good, basic comfortable place to stay, this is a perfect place for you.||Wickenburg itself is a slightly strange town. Friendly folks, interesting old town, etc, but a lot of the town seems to shut down at 3pm and several of the diners we wanted to try were closed on Wednesday and Thursday. ||About an eight minute walk from My Place is Buttermilk & Honey Bakery. Well worth a visit. They open at 7am and sell out quickly - and a course, this being Wickenburg,...
Read moreThis was my second time staying at My Place Suites. This is a wonderful local family run place to stay in Wickenburg, and I highly recommend it. The property is very peaceful and inviting--like an oasis with beautiful foliage and flowers and a pool in the center. The rooms are outstanding! I have stayed twice in one of the queen bed suites, and they are very charming--like apartments more than motel/hotel rooms. You get a nice sitting area with a very comfortable leather couch, a kitchen area with full stove and a large refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker and coffee! The bedroom area and bathroom are quite sizeable, and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Honestly, this is a great deal, and you get to support a local family business. Seth is delightful and brings guests to their rooms and shows you around. You are very close to all that Wickenburg has to offer including stores, restaurants and the historic and quaint downtown area. There is nowhere else in Wickenburg I will stay, and I look forward to staying at My Place Suites...
Read moreWhat a fun, comfortable place to stay! We are in town to visit family, and wanted to make sure we all had a bit of privacy so we could enjoy our time together. The room is well equipped, and the hotel has some of the best hotel wi-fi I've ever experienced. Usually, I give up and wait to upload trip pictures at home, but here, even the upload speed is great. We are in a full studio, and it looks like you can't book those on the booking sites; just through the hotel's website? Anyway, it's been plenty of room for a kid and me, especially since there is so much room outside to enjoy. My mother-and-law and I sat out on the couch in front of the room while my child played the other day. We're all going to have an early Christmas dinner in the outside kitchen tomorrow afternoon. The staff is accommodating and helpful. Absolutely no complaints. Close to everything, really quiet, and a super chill, funky vibe that I love. So much love went into creating the atmosphere; I really...
