If I could give this place a minus star I would. We stayed here 3 years ago and had a terrible experience so it is my mistake to book again. I like to think Best Western Hotels have standards and do inspections that would make them a step above many other hotels but Iām wrong. Donāt assume this hotel has standards to meet. Do not stay in room 119. When we checked in, I immediately ask if the rooms had been upgraded over the past couple years and was assured that yes, the rooms have been remodeled and upgraded. Our room was extremely small, smelled horribly like old, stale cigars, and mold. The bed mattress did not fit on the bed springs, it hung over on all sides. It was an oversized, full size mattress with the scratchiest sheets Iāve ever slept on. The decorative blanket on top appeared to be a scratchy rug from the floor. The carpet was torn up at the edges around the doorway and was the same carpet that was there years ago, so dirty, it can no longer be cleaned. the bathroom sink was a small pedestal sink with no place for even a toothbrush and toothpaste. The fan in the bathroom was so loud it hurt your ears. Salsa spills were still on the extremely narrow bathroom floor. The heater on the wall was equally loud and would wake you up when it came on. The pillows I promise you felt like they were stuffed with old rags, they were that lumpy. The plaster was falling off the walls, the sloppy paint job look like an eight year old kid did it. The hanger on the back of the bathroom door was glued, screwed, painted in place, so many times crooked that it could not be repaired. The door in the bathroom was an old used door they brought in, changed the hinge swing and didnāt even repair the old hinge holes properly before they re-hung the door. The toilet looks like it was something out of the 60s. There was light coming from underneath the entrance door threshold from the outside patio that looked like spiders, and snakes could crawl under. The ceiling vent, whatever it was venting, was blowing black dirt, soot and smoke stains all the way around it onto the ceiling and the wall. In our opinion, this building shouldāve been condemned years ago. Now, possibly other parts of the building have been updated, but this room had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI chose this place because they were pet friendly. They put us in an old, outdated room. I thought to myself "well, when you have a pet they must put you in the worst rooms they have!" We decided to try and stick it out. We finally went to bed at around 12:30 - 1:00 am. At around 2:30 am neither one of us could fall asleep because our backs were hurting from the rock hard bed! Seriously, you can feel the springs under your spine (my wife and I are both thin people, NOT overweight in the slightest). The pillows were clumpy like they had been used for 15 years! Finally, I had had enough, and went to the front desk at around maybe 3 am to see about a different room. The lady at the front desk had me try 4 or 5 different rooms and all the beds were the same, and pillows the same. One of the rooms she gave me a key card to, had someone in it, and I walked right in on them!!! NOT COOL!!! After seeing the other rooms had the same beds and pillows, we elected to just check out and go home. The lady at the front counter said she'd let the Manager know the next morning and that the Manager would be the one refunding our credit card. The Manager (Melody K) didn't get back to me for several days, and when she did, she claimed "the beds & pillows meet standards" Really? Who's standards? This room was over $100 per night. Motel 6 is a better place to stay at half the cost! Do NOT STAY here, or you'll be sorely disappointed! I was told one thing, and then they did another! Seriously, Melody K, having a comfortable bed and pillow is THE MOST important thing a hotel can provide for their guests. Everything else can be worked around. It ruined our Memorial Day weekend to say the least and I'll never go back there. Furthermore, I'll tell everyone else that I know to never stay there (and I know a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDITED TO AD: we DID stay on this property, rm 233 and have receipts and pictures to prove it. My husband booked it as he's the one with the military ID. Initials are RN. Within minutes ofentering our room we killed a roach in the bathroom. Ok, stuff happens. Not going to let it ruin our trip. Not even 5 minutes later I step on glass in from t of AC unit. I called the front desk. They don't have bandaids. (Really, not even a first aid kit?) They also didn't have anyone available to vacuum our room. Parking is clearly not monitored as several trucks were parked horizontally across 2, 3 and 4 parking spots. Several vehicles were parked in handicap that weren't. Guests had to park in the neighborhood and walk. Upon check out I let the front desk lady know that we had spider webs with live bugs in our bathroom, not just one but 3 different webs, and her reply was "ok". That's it. I really expected more from a Best Western. A "Run down" hotel is one thing.. Filthy or dangerous is another. I have pictures of everything I mentioned. Regretfully, I forgot to take a picture of the space under the door that I could literally stick my fingers under. The shower curtain was dirty and we had half a roll of toilet paper, meaning someone used it before us. Hopefully management will step up and at least reply with something more than "ok". Paid $193 WITH a military discount to share a room with bugs and cut myself. In the spirit of total honestly, the girl that checked us in was new, friendly and very sweet. The beds and pillows were comfy. The location is great if you...
