After a long hike at Lake Pleasant today we decided to head over to Wickenburg for some lunch. I love to find a local spot and this one fit the bill. Thank goodness I chose to ignore the negative reviews because this place was awesome! From the moment we walked in until we left we had a great time. We chose to sit at the bar and were welcomed right away and drink orders taken. We had come in through the back lot which was great because of if never known there was such a nice patio and shops behind the bar. I’ve been coming to Wickenburg for years. So many food options sounded good so we opted to split 6 hot wings, a cup of chili and share a bacon cheer and fries as well. Yeap you guessed it we were starving ha ha! We chatted up with the bartenders and a few others at the bar while we waited for our food. Everything came out pretty quick and looked so good. First off the wings were delicious. The chili had a great smoke flavor and adding the onions/cheese made it even better. I liked that they added some tortilla chips as a side to it. They were awesome and they even took the time to cut our burger in half and plate it separately so we didn’t have to eat off of one plate. The toppings were great and fries crispy. The burger was cooked how we ordered it. Prices were fair and we’ve already talked about coming back again soon…he’ll like tomorrow ha ha ha. Don’t let the reviews fool you. This is a definite local spot, be patient, enjoy yourself and order some hot wings! Yum! The vibe was awesome, laid back and small town feel. I loved every minute.

Fantastic alternative from going to Prescott for the day. Wickenburg is only 20 minutes from Wittmann. Free on street parking. When my relatives came out for Thanksgiving we went there Wednesday Thursday and Friday three days in a row. Fantastic food and service all three days even on Thanksgiving. For a horse town I was really surprised to see Tesla charging stations at the city hall. Very quaint little town the street lights on Main Street have cowboy hats on them. But whatever you do when Wickenburg go to the mecca restaurant. Fantastic food and drinks. Are waitresses as I've been there on many occasions now have been Anna and Crystal and they get two thumbs up for their excellent service. The weekends can be a little busy. So I normally go on the weekdays and bring my dog.

Good afternoon, I have been to this location many times over the years. This is one of the few times I and my wife have had a bad experience. Unfortunately. We entered the Mecca at 12:40pm on a Sunday. It was slightly busy because of the games. We had just road up from Surprise. Not a long ride by any means, but still thirsty when we walked in. By 12:55pm my wife finally asked for menus. Not a single waitress or the bartender had even acknowledged we were in the building. We had been sitting inside near the front window next to the bar!!! Once we had our menus (after asking for them) we still did not get a server. Not one employee attempted to help us. We left after being there for 30 minutes. Never felt so much indifference from a bar/cafe in my life. Very disappointed :(

We went to the Mecca twice this past weekend. First time was Friday night. We had a group of 8. To be up front, the place is a nice looking establishment. Unfortunately, the service isn't so nice. I do have a tendency to blame part of their "slow" service on their new tablet system the staff uses to order food/drinks (btw, we weren't there to eat, just have drinks.). The staff there uses these tablets at a very SLOW rate. Punching in orders, looking for drinks on their scroll system. It's slow BIG TIME! Either they haven't been trained on the system well enough, or the system doesn't fit their establishment. The later the night went on, the slower the service became. I even asked our waitress while she was walking by if we could put in another order, and she replied, "There are several people in front of you." Fair enough... The problem is, we were there 4 hours and we only received 3 drinks a piece within our group. PLUS, our drinks never came out together....sometimes one by one. We do give some grace for how busy it became that night. However, they missed a GREAT AMOUNT of money by either not knowing how to use their system, or by either having poor customer service and not understanding Friday night is a night people are there to have drinks, and possibly plenty of them. BTW, all of us enjoy drinking plenty and enjoying a safe UBER/Lyft home. We were fine to walk home back to our 5th wheel trailers just fine. SATURDAY afternoon, we gave it another shot. Same 8 people, different waitress and a MUCH smaller crowd at the Mecca. Worst slow, handing a drink out here and there, forgetting your order, taking their time to get your bill than the freaking busy night before. Absolutely terrible customer service......terrible. They weren't mean or rude, just slow, forgetful and seemingly thoughtless as to what efficient, professional "customer" service is. They need training and direction. Won't go back...

My companion and I visited this establishment yesterday about 1:30 pm. The restaurant was about half full, with what seemed to be three servers. We sat out in the patio, next to the entrance. We ordered drinks, he ordered a Corona and I had a Coke. My Coke came right away, and our server, Natasha L., said she was waiting on the bartender for the beer. About 10 minutes later, his beer had still not arrived. He flagged down another server and asked her to summon Natasha. Minutes later Natasha arrived, her body language showed an attitude. She stood at our table and wordlessly stared at my companion. He asked about his beer, she replied curtly, "Still waiting on the bartender." Another 10 minutes later, Natasha appeared with the beer and plunked it down on the table, again without a word or an apology. He asked her for a glass for the bottled beer, and she walked away! Several minutes passed, he flagged down another server and asked for a glass. That server said she would contact our Natasha. Natasha never came. Several minutes went by, our food came, delivered by a different sever, and still no glass. He asked that server for a glass, she said she wasn't allowed to handle alcohol. My companion got up, went to the bar, and requested a glass. At least 20 minutes went by between the beer delivered and he finally got to sip it. Natasha never came to check on us throughout the meal, although where our table was situated she walked right past us at least 8 times. She did deliver our check, handed it to me and smiled at me as she thanked us. We concluded Natasha probably should look for a different line of work. (We'd give the food two stars.) Needless to say, we...

The food at Mecca is worth making a visit. I love the Gold Rush burger and the main reason I like to eat from here is they have fried mushrooms. Just don’t plan on getting in and out fast. It takes longer than my allotted lunch period to get my food. Last time I was there for 2 hours start to finish for my lunch hour. Kitchen close at the ridiculously early time of 7pm and don’t think you can do yourself any favors to save time by trying to call in a take out order because most of the time nobody will answer the phone. I called in a dinner order last week and was surprised someone answered and I placed the order and said I would be there in about 20 minutes at 7:20 pm but wanted to order before the kitchen closed. It was going to take me longer to get there so I tried calling back and got a busy signal every time so when I got there around 8pm I mentioned the phone being busy and it was off the hook. Today I wanted to attempt to call in a lunch order when the kitchen opens at the ridiculously late time of noon. Attempted to call for an hour which was at least 20 phone calls. Nobody ever picked up it just rings. Speaking of phone the phone number that comes up when you search Mecca isn’t a good number. Found a good number for the place on yelp just can’t get anyone to pick up. I finally gave up on lunch at Mecca today and went to Zane burger which isn’t too bad itself. If you’re not worried about time and not in a hurry I would recommend because the food is good but nobody seems to care about getting it out at a decent time and definitely don’t care about take out orders...
