J & L Motel — Hotel in Wickliffe

This place isn't the Hilton Inn but It's definitely not the worst place I have ever stayed at. I think the value there as far as price and convenience is fair. I've noticed a few bad reviews but I think that people are only making bad reviews based off of unrealistic expectations and most people have much higher standards as fare as what a motel should accommodat. In my opinion the overall experience was not bad for the price. I thought the rooms there where not bad as fare as overall cleanliness and they are definitely on point with maintenance and upkeep. The staff there is very nice and extremely helpful to me and my family during our stay. Any problems we had they where quick to assist us and even worked with us on price at times. Carol in the office is very sweet an understanding. The only thing I didn't like was that that they don't have mini fridges, microwaves, or coffee pots in the rooms which can become costly considering you have to order out or go out to eat versus being able to store food and prepare meals your self. But its location makes it convenient to do so there are plenty of places to eat and shop close by. I give this place 4 stars for its value and quality of stay. I guess your opinion depends on what it is your looking for. Like I said this place isn't your 5 star hotel but it is what it is and I think it's value os fare for a quick convenient comfortable...

Foul smelling and extremely nasty!! Owner does not clean rooms sheets or bathrooms!! If a health inspector would be sent in, multiple violations and fines would be issued or the place would be closed permanently!!!! Owner is a deceptive "LIAR" and likes to overcharge and play games like pretending he forgot that you paid for a room and will try and charge you again! Take a camera and record to see for yourself!! The city of Wickliffe needs do do something about that bio hazard hell hole!! Some of those people probably are in this country illegally!! DHS and the FBI needs to make a trip over to the J N L motel and trace where that money is being sent daily, probably to some terrorists over in pakistan and india!! They like to to smear the PLAZA MOTEL down the street because of their professionalism and respect for guests. That's why the owner likes to cheat people to try and stay in business!!! Seriously the city of Wickliffe needs to go in there and do some testing!!

Prime example of getting what you pay for. It is the cheapest place for a reason. The room definitely hadn't been thoroughly cleaned or even semi cleaned in at least 6 months. The grime built up was atrocious. Dried puke on the walls and outside of the toilet, trash can filthy and a bag just placed over the filth. Screen busted out of the bathroom window...toothpaste and grime built up on the faucet even. Bare minimum accommodations. AC, while filthy...works great! Water was hot. One of the lights didn't work properly. No fridge or microwave in the room either. And I doubt the shower curtain has ever been washed judging from the mold along the bottom. The kid at the front desk didn't seem to know how to do his job as I had to run the credit card reader myself and he couldn't even assist with our questions. He was super friendly though. Location is great. With city and country things to do within an hour drive and plenty of things to do; whatever you might be into. And tons of restaurants to choose...
