If I could give this place 0 stars I would. When you first walk into the lobby it looks all grand. You can tell that's where they put their money. The rooms are disgusting. As soon as I opened the door I was hit with a whiff of old urine. It was very overwhelming. There are dents in the wall as of the door has been swung open repeatedly, the wall for the swing lock for the top of the door has the same dent as if it's been forced open too many times. The bathroom doors looks like someone forced their way through. There is black mold on the ceiling of the shower. They shower curtain has stains all over it. The towels have holes. The bedsheets have stains. The fridge doesn't close properly so it doesn't stay cold in the fridge. The outlets are falling apart and barely hold my phone charger. I took a baby wipe and wiped down a seat for the desk and it came out brown 🤢. The beds are small. I will never stay here again and I will make sure anyone I know never stays here either. The service desk person was very rude and unhelpful. I went up to them to help me connect to the Wifi and I kept getting "IP Configuration Error" and all she told me was "I don't know what to tell you. The wifi reached the whole building and my phone connected to it perfectly fine. Try again in 10-15 minutes" 😑 I tried with my phone, my wife's phone, my mother in laws phone, my Nintendo switch, and my wifes Nintendo switch. None of the devices connect. So, no, they advertise free wifi but they don't really have free wifi. There were people sitting on the stairs doing drugs. They say they only allow a dog that's well behaved yet there was a vicious dog fight right outside my door between 2 pitbulls. 0 stars for me. Oh and if this matters to you, the place is surrounded by a cemetery. ADDITION: I spoke to the manager and they came to look at the room and looked "surprised" at the state of the room. He said he was gonna ng to have it serviced while we were gone. This was at 9 AM. When we came back at 11 PM we saw the room was never serviced and left exactly how we left it. So what service was given? I was given a response to this review, but all it was is "I'm sorry" and "we'll do better". Obviously not because look at all your past reviews. This was a waste of money and this was an extremely horrible experience. Will never go here again and I will be sharing this review with everyone that I know.

STAY AWAY!!!! They get NO stars!!! Booked through Priceline as we were traveling from NYC. My wife and I checked in at 4:30pm. Went to our room and had 1 towel that was dirty and looked used and no wash cloths. I went down to front desk to some middle age India women working stated “we ran out of towels/wash cloths”. Because there wasn’t many cars in the parking lot I asked if she could go inside a vacant room to get those items. She said she will check and to come back in a few hours and she’ll have them waiting for us. Went out to get some dinner and return around 9:50pm and same women tells us she checked and they ran out. My wife started to tell her that it is unprofessional to tell guest who are checking in that they don’t have linens to give to guests an to have a dirty used towel the only towel in the room. How are we supposed to shower with no towels and wash cloths. My wife yelled at her and said she either approve a refund to Priceline or find us some clean linens. It was not until my wife went off on her that she finally goes into a housekeeping room across from check-in office and return with a stack of wash cloths. Clearly this is a family owned red roof that the owners live on site. The fact she was dishonest and really expect us to accept that they ran out of clean linens is UNACCEPTABLE. PELASE NOTE THE TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS are cheap and paper thin and not properly wash with good industrial soap. Also note this establishment house homeless people that the state of DE pays for clients to reside there. It is a sham they treat any guests that stays here like this. We know this because we made conversation with some of the guys who were hanging out front said that’s how they even get treated as well. Poorly managed Red Roof. They should be shut down an sold to human beings that can treat its first with dignity, compassion and respect. Egregious experience at this hotel.

it was stated as a non-smoking property / facility but there was always the strong smell of marijuana to the point it was sickening . the beds reminded me of beds they used in prison and were so uncomfortable and the bed topper under the sheets looked like it hadn’t been washed since the Great Depression and it reeks of urine . pillows are flat . towels are not accommodating to plus size people and the showers are dirty and so was the bathroom and the amount of bugs and roaches that had to be killed by us guests was ridiculous and unsanitary . I would not recommend staying here . also our shower had a rushed rod sticking out as that was a safety hazard , what happened if someone got hurt ? the only thing nice is the larger fridge, storage and tv . also a random door that connects to another room of another guest . . that’s uncomfortable and weird , should be stated on the website . . also the WiFi and cell reception here is terrible like . . you’re a business , you should have better WiFi to accommodate the paying customers that stay here . also having to pay to wash your laundry is like ridiculous because that should be included as free with your stay . 2 - 3 hours to wash sheets , blankets , towels and etc is kind of inconvenient because what do you expect your guests to sleep on or use within that process ? no one on the staff speaks English and we can barley understand them ( I’m not trying to be ignorant ) but you should have people on stay who speak English . . also not stated on the website or booking app the deposit for your stay is $100 which is important for guest coming to stay at your hotel like ??

DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you want to be treated like a piece of trash by the staff (there are a few nice ones, but they are just as messy behind your back, especially if they don't think you d3ont speak the same language as them).. MOST of the front desk staff treat you as if they are better than you and doing you a favor.

There is absolutely NO COMMUNICATION between workers, except a select few and they usually don't relay anything that someone has complained about.

COCKROACHES ARE HORRIBLE - especially on the HomeTowne side.

The entire building has a foul smell likely caused by all the BLACK MOLD in EVERY ROOM and HALLWAYS, the ceiling in the hallway upstairs is the worst. To "fix" the issue it gets painted over.

There are constantly people slumped over on drugs nodding out ALL over the property, many ODs happen there, and if someone passes away the beds are set outside for a day and returned to that room the NEXT DAY. Ready to be rented back out.

The air conditioners in the rooms are completely FULL of mold. And if something happens to anything in your room they do not do ANYTHING to fix the issue, instead they blame you. Many of the upstairs rooms leak into the rooms below them.

They do NOT provide extra towels or bedding. You must give them your dirty ones and once they wash them they bring them back later on, (sometimes even as last as 11 pm) - if you get ANYTHING on the towels, wash clothes, sheets or blankets they charge you $50 OR MORE.

They constantly change your reservations, to charge an extra fee and claim theres nothing they can do about it.

The ONLY AREA outside that says no pets is covered in dog poop. It's hard to avoid stepping in it.

The elevator seems like it needs to be serviced. Always making noises and movements as if it was stuck or something.

Ther3s 1 washer, and 2 dryers but they don't work and i was told they have not worked in OVER A MONTH

People are very loud ALL night, nothing is ever done about it. The list goes on, and I wasn't there very long, while I was there many people I spoke with gave me numerous complaints about this property and also the way the staff acted with them.

I would no recommend this location to ANYONE, but if it is your last option, if you have kids make sure you keep a close eye on them, take PICTURES of EVERYTHING, and before you bring anything in your room make sure to THROUGHLY check for any type of bugs or issues. From my experience and many others they try very hard NOT to give you your deposit back, and they will straight up lie to corporate to avoid any consequences on there part.

Just be careful if you decide to stay at this location, and make sure you get proof of any and...

Looks can be deseving. When seeing the lobby I thought 💭 This is really nice and our children are gonna enjoy themselves. Boy was I wrong! I don't even know where to begin. Made reservations online for a week soon as we arrive got our key for the room my family and I were greeted by a roach 🪳. The towels were dingy with spots. The blankets had burnt holes fridge was dirty The outlet cover was half cracked. The claw marks on the bathroom door from animals and it smells like an animal kennel with cat piss smell ,trash mildew, and Old bleach. I am from the front desk of the roaches and the burn marks I was told that they would send maintenance down haven't seen maintenance from that day till this day housekeeping does not knock on the door to see if you need anything you have to physically run them down and no one speaks English they use their phone to interpret what to say. False advertisements there's no continental breakfast my kids thought that they were going to go swimming needless to say the pool is out of order along with the ice machine. They're very rude at the front desk they don't know how to speak to people. Everyday a few times in the day my key card had to be reactivated. We were killing roaches and flies all day every day. We were better off camping outdoors 😤. They had a few events that took place and the music was so loud you could feel the vibration. People running and screaming threw the hallway starting around 1am until about 4am. During checkout we asked about our points to get free nights you earned. (The stay should be free always) We were told that we had to ask to be signed up for the Rewards before paying for the room and give them the rewards number which is impossible when they (Receptiones) are supposed to give it to the customer. Then said that I wasn't on the rewards program. Which is Bull. I then logged in my account in front of her she then said that we don't have any points when you receive them when your supposed to receive them every day your there 12 days and not 1 point 😠.
