Econo Lodge Winfield — Hotel in Winfield

Amazing! From start to finish!! Check.in was pleasant. An hour or so we received a call from the front desk asking how are room was. Of course it was perfect! But we did let him know we were having a problem with the wifi. He asked if he could come to the room to help with it. My husband and I felt so silly as it was my error it wasn't working. He also noticed that I had a walker and the bed was pretty high and offered to bring me a foot still to make it easier to get into bed. Later that afternoon we went out for a smoke and we seen him and his boys playing stick ball in the parking lot since it wasn't busy. I thought that was great to see the business owner interacting with the kids outside. We requested a handicapped room, we didn't get it, however there was the metal handrails in the shower but nothing by the toilet. I struggled to get up from toilet each time, and think maybe I'll just invest in some portable grab bars to go with me in the future in case the handicapped room isn't available. Beds were super comfy, room was clean, staff so friendly. Breakfast was good. The options were biscuits n gravy, waffles, cereal, hot n cold, muffins, danish, bananas, toast, milk n juice. Had a great stay only reason I give it a 4 star cause I am in a wheelchair and Ice machine is upstairs. Thank goodness my family can go up stairs to get me ice. Plus no handicapped rooms. Luckily I had my husband help me in room and restroom. I couldn't use shower cause I had no chair to use in the bathroom. I did request one but no prevail. They didn't serve continental breakfast they said because they didn't have very many people there to really make one I was very disappointed since there was four of us staying and look pretty busy to us there's a lot of cars in the parking spaces. But our stay was pretty good rooms were clean beds were nice and comfortable just a few things that need to be tweaked out. I like the fact that restaurants nearby that we can walk to that was a plus...

Dipal was just amazing, absolutely amazing and one of the sole reasons for the 5 stars. The rooms were what you'd expect for a motel-style building, nothing outstanding or great, but clean and nice use. The heater squeked a lot in 122, so maybe avoid that room lol. But everything else was nice - hot water ever shower (huge plus for me, especially during the storm and cold that hit Winfield while there). Dipal was just amazing, I mean, seriously, are there 3 of her? She was at the desk, cleaning rooms, and when my friend's truck wouldn't start, she even went to her car to get us jumper cables!
