To begin with, I actually booked the day after we were supposed to check in, but luckily they had room, but I had to pay $30 more than planned. This place was nothing special. Had a rating of 8/10 on Expedia. I’d say 4-6/10 would be more accurate. Reception area desk was dirty. It needed to be wiped off. They tried to make the entry area appear new with the common area being new looking with granite & new tables. Textured tile floors were really dirty. They need to be scrubbed. I clean houses for a living & I know this flooring. Regular mopping won’t clean it. Supposed to be tan, not tan & black. We were on the 1st floor with a “pet friendly” room for 2 cats. Carpeted hall was dark & dreary & carpet needed cleaning. It had acoustic tiles with the popcorn ceiling effect. Needs a new lighter color wall color to brighten it up. Room door did not slam like it should for safety. You had to push or pull completely closed. Bathroom has a tile wall edge that needs to be dusted or wiped. Toilet isn’t even centered in the space! It’s @ an angle & the toilet seat is wobbly. Needs to be screwed in. Shower curtain is about 3 inches too long so you stand on the bottom part in the shower. Vent in ceiling was covered with dirty dust. Corners need to be cleaned out with a toothbrush as they are black. Tub was clean though. |The a/c control panel vibrates, but a washcloth under the lid made it stop. Air smelled musty. Long hair was hanging off the curtains. My cat was trying to play with it as the air blew it around. Beds were ok, but not great. Windows were cloudy because double pane seals were broken. Lamp next to bed on the left side didn’t work. Apparently a pet must’ve peed or something on the carpet edge that went up the wall by the bathroom as my cats had fun smelling it. Little sink had no drain plug, so things could easily fall completely down the drain. |Breakfast was ok, but nothing to brag about. Other previous Wyndham hotels were much better with their selection. The owners need to do a makeover with new paint to brighten it all up. Oh and the parking lot wasn’t...
Read moreWe went here because it was the best reviewed in the area that allowed dogs. The price was a bit higher than what we wanted, but figured that it was worth it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our needs and our dog, however there were a few unexpected things. First, the pillows are incredibly small and sparse, so much so that we had to ask the (again very accommodating) front desk worker to help us get more. One of our beds had a large brown mark on it, but there was another bed and it was late, so we didn't make a huge deal of it. My spouse was coughing all night, which is unusual, but I chalked it up to the cold weather until the next morning when we got up to shower and saw the ceiling tiles actively decaying from mold with water spots all over. They also neglected to inform us that the pool and hot tub were closed due to them putting new carpeting in prior to booking, it was not disclosed on their website and we did not receive a reduced rate to reflect the closed accommodations. They also had unfinished carpeting all over our floor, including tools and nails just in the hallway. Overall very disappointed and will not be staying here again or recommending to anyone who comes through town. Save yourself some money and spend the night at a motel...
Read moreMy husband, son, and myself stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and yes the reviews I read are true don’t stay here it’s outdated and the service is awful we only stayed because our son is going to college in the town and the hotel is only 6 minutes away. I dropped a tomato on the sheets and got some of the stains out but wasn’t able to, so after leaving and returning later the sheets and comforter weren’t changed because the stains were still there, I spoke with the manager and he offered to have house keeping come clean but I declined because my husband was asleep and I didn’t want to wake him because we were leaving at 1:00 in the morning so I asked if he could credit some of the money the manager quickly said no. He even said that I could leave right then so I said I was reporting him because for the price he charged the sheets and comforter should’ve been changed and he even said I had to ask for full service. What the 🤬 we paid $461 for 2 nights on an uncomfortable bed and carpet that has stains. We’ll never stay here again and please don’t look that way find another hotel and I wish I could give a 0 because that’s what this hotel deserves. I will be back to the town but I won’t stay...
