Summary: The hotel is fantastic value for the price, and far exceeded typical cleanliness and comfort for Quality Inns or other similar price properties. The very recent interior remodel did a great job. We'd definitely stay again.
Pulling up we were concerned at the old appearance of the building but we ended up very pleasantly surprised. We asked to look at the room to decide if we were going to keep or cancel the reservation, and from the lobby to the rooms it was clear this was a very recent remodel that touched all aspects of the interior.
Pros: The wood floors in the room gave a great sense of cleanliness. The sheets, pillows, and towels all seemed new and clean. Mattress cover on the bed (which we saw housekeeping changing on other rooms the next day) gave great comfort with respect to any bed bugs. Very nice shower remodel in the rooms as well as a surprisingly large smart TV. The pamphlet in the room said they use hospital grade disinfectants and focus on high touch areas when cleaning, which gave us great comfort. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we slept great. The building, being older, seems to be built with thicker blocks, which made it so we never heard noise from adjoining rooms. There was also a nice laundry room to clean our clothes on the road trip.
Cons: The toilets were still older and ours made a loud hissing sound for a long time after each flush. There were some dead gnats stuck on the ceiling in the bathroom, probably stuck on from steam. The air conditioner was an old style model that was quite loud with the heater on at night. The breakfast was fairly lackluster; odd color to the waffle mix, lower quality eggs than your average continental breakfast, and only one toaster/waffle iron which made for a lot of waiting with only a handful of other guests there, but it at least did have basics to get you going for the day.
Overall our stay far exceeded initial expectations and the cons were minor enough to not impact our stay very much. Better eggs/waffles and a second toaster would have been enough to bump this up to a...
Read moreThis is a former Red Roof Inn being transformed to a Quality Inn. It is family owned and operated. They are working hard to complete the transformation but it is still a work in progress. In time, this good place to stay will be a great one. Pros: All rooms have been or will be completely refurbished. Two of three buildings are complete. The room I stayed in appeared to be brand new inside. The room design is fresh and modern. The king bed was supremely comfortable. Amenities include a wall-mounted big screen TV with DirecTV service, a good size refrigerator, small microwave, new A/C and heater unit that was very quiet and didn't blow the curtains around, walk-in shower with sliding glass door enclosure, work desk, lounge chair with ottoman, soft touch lamps with outlets and USB ports. Did I mention that everything is new and clean? The property is quiet and safe. Staff is helpful and trying hard. Cons: Needs a bigger sign out front because it can be hard to find as the property is surrounded by other brands that are much more noticeable. The office/breakfast area is spacious but separated from the actual lodging rooms which are in three separate motor hotel style buildings up the hill. The outdoor stairway connecting the two areas is not open currently. Not the best arrangement for folks with mobility issues. TV is a little hard to figure out. One remote to select HDMI 3 and the other to control everything else. Phones and new wi-fi not working yet. However, the unsecured legacy Red Roof Inn wi-fi still works if you search for it. No ice machine. Ask at the office if you need ice. Bring the ice bucket from your room. No hot breakfast yet, only continental breakfast items. Hot breakfast will be available when business picks up. In conclusion, I had a mostly positive experience here. Given the very reasonable room rates and the newness of everything, I would definitely stay here again if the...
Read moreI just left this hotel this morning, 10/6/2025. I arrived solo, on a motorcycle at 9p.m. right off the highway. It started off well enough but did not end as well. The sign outside says it is newly remodeled but the amenities seemed to have been left out. I was very specific about 2 needs. 1.A room on the parking lot side so I could park my bike within my view. 2. A T.V. as I need the news and weather. As luck would have it the T.V. doesn't work. One remote was held together with tape that still didn't hold the back on. I go back down the hill to check with Sam at the front desk. I also asked for the ice machine and I was told it was broken. Sam offers me another room but is aware that there is no parking on that side. His offer to me was to choose one of those rooms and that the T.V. isn't a big deal. Maybe not, but when one is paying for a room then I would expect ALL of the services I am used to as a loyal Quality Inn client. I walked back and forth to the office 3 times to get this sorted out. I was exhausted! I took the room with the parking and broken T.V. The room seemed clean enough until a bug walked across the base of the bed. I left at 4a.m. I have never had such an experience at a Quality Inn before. I am very unhappy about...
