If I was permitted, I would give Meros Boutique Hotel an even higher rating - because I was treated as an individual, with warmth, friendliness and respect - and even more important, with kind and thoughtful flexibility. I arrived earlier than what the "rules" allow and I also needed to minimize using stairs due to an ankle injury. The owner and staff immediately offered solutions - I was moved from the top floor to the first floor, without any mention of additional fees for early check-in. I can add my opinion to the other reviews: that my room, the lobby and the dining area were all immaculately clean, the location is ideal for cultural/historical sites, restaurants and coffeehouses. The breakfast is offered to appeal to the majority of guests, but I was asked if something else might be added to the breakfast - and it appeared the next morning! I must praise the individuals working at Meros, that made my visit so pleasant, in every way: Lazizjon, master of all services and Belle, who keeps the kitchen running smoothly and made sure I was safely on my way to the train station. And lastly, it was an honor to meet and get to know the owner, Zafar, and his wife and son. I will probably forget the names of some Madrasahs and important Uzbek people, but I will never forget the connection formed with the...

The bonus is that you walk along the green boulevard to Registrant and all other sights. Meros is new, clean with spacious room, covered with soft and foot pampering carpet. The breakfast is decent and the breakfast lady is caring, that softens my heart and feel homesick. Reception staff Amir is friendly and helpful. He asked me if I liked his city. I said yes. I could see pride in his eyes. All in all, Samarkand is magnificent in every possible way, in particular its people. I have had a...

Hotel itself located in the end of boulevard, so it might take around 20 minutes to walk to first landmarks of city ( Amir Temur mauzoleum etc. ). Breakfast typical for local hotels and guest houses.||Positive: service; good quality rooms.||Negative: nothing specific to...
