So basically the hotel is perfect when it comes to quality of facilities and amenities ( nice bed nice pool nice bar and restaurant 👌) however still needs to improve when it comes to service and some minor defects
The water pressure in my room (406) was nearly nonexistent, so showering was an eternity. The door of the shower kept on sliding open and therefore the water flooded the bathroom floor . Also the rubber at the shower was partly broken so more water came out.
When i walked in from the taxi the reveptio team just ignored me. I was there standing for a few minutes whike they just minded their business until i asked if i could check in and i hot as answer " passport"
During my stay I only managed to have one person smiling , this was the chef during breakfast. Well done.
The tables were not set with cutlery neither with napkins etc during breakfast ( this could have been because some guests left , can happen ) so when I managed to get food( breakfast was very good ) I had to run after the waiters to get those items.
Same at dinner , we decided to sit outside by the pool as there was live music in the restaurant and was way too loud for us. The table was not set and even when I got the food I had to ask for cutlery.
During breakfast a glass was broken on the floor by one of the waitress and they just left it there until the cleaning team came a few minutes later. During this time even some of the guests were picking up the glass on the floor as it was dangerous to get to the buffet .
Spend one day in the pool and although there were at least 4 waiters working , not even one approached anyone in the terrace to ask if there was anything we wanted to drink. If they do not do table service neither have they taken the initiative to inform us or any of the other guests so we could take it into account.
Overall the service was not very good, not because they were mean or anything ... they just seem not to prioritise much the guests . Nobody smiles they just seem to be really focus on their on things. It is a pity because the hotel is beautiful however the service is definitely not a boutique hotel with the prices they charge. Hopefully they manage to change...
Read moreAfter having travelled through Uzbekistan and also stayed in several places in Tashkent this was a rather disappointing experience. Starting from the arrival of this so calles luxury place where absolutely nobody asked us of they could help with our luggage nor even said hello or acknowledged us. There was no sign of the typical Uzbek hospitality. The rooms look very used with dirty carpets and a shower that leaks water due to already broken shower doors. Also, the water pressure is non existant, making showering a not so pleasent experience. However the worse of all is the service... just abismal. No greeting when entering the restaurant or reception, not being seated or even looked at, nobody comes to ask for your order, you actually have to get up and get one of the 3 idle waiters although there are hardly any other people in the restaurant/bar, etc. When ordering in anything that isn't Russian, be sure you get something completely else. The staff seems to be all Russian and they do not speak any word of another language, not even basics like fork, gym, or the numbers. This wouldn't be such an issue if you are friendly and try, but on several occasions we were not understood, the staff would turn around, leave and never come back. Our only positive experience was the chef responsible for the breakfast buffet. He was the only one who tried and was friendly. In my opinion, there are MANY better options in Tashkent with at least the same comfort and room standards but much better service and for half the price. Absolutely not worth it. The pool and the gym are nice and it's close to the airport.... that's about all the...
Read moreEverything would be almost perfect, if it was not for a completely clueless front desk staff. We have closed our restaurant, room, sauna, massage charges 3 days in advance just so we could have a smooth checkout. Paid the full amount. At checkout (4:30 am - early morming flight back home) we get told by the front desk staff that we can't leave because in their system it is still showing all of those charges are unpaid still. After a lot of back and fourth, I had to almost miss my flight and taxi ride and run back to the room to find the receipt for the charges. The front desk looked at the receipt like their have never seen one before and claimed that the receipt is only showing the amount and that it is not paid. Surprisingly, I had to tell him to look below the amount stated to find a stamp and a signature of one of their front desk staff members who collected the money for the charges 3 days prior. The respose I got was, "Oh yes I see it now" and "I guess that front desk staff member will have to pay out of pocket for your charges because he or she did not mark these charges as paid in our system". Overall, the hotel, breakfast, gym, pool are all great and well thought of amenities/services. However watch out for the front desk staff specifically trying to pull a fast one on you and spoil your stay at the most critical part of your stay (checkout) when everything should be smooth, quick, and painless. We were just talking about how we would like to come back and stay there again, but after this experience I doubt we will again....
