Please be very careful about the bill when paying. The waiter told me the total was 169,000 (he showed the amount on a calculator) and demanded cash. I thought to myself, Did I really order that much? Since I didn’t have enough cash, I said I would pay by card. He kept insisting that I hand over my card, but I didn’t trust him — he was a young, slim waiter wearing glasses.

I decided to go to the cashier myself, and he followed me. Even on the way there, he continued to ask me to give him my card. Eventually, perhaps realizing I wouldn’t give in, he gave up and we reached the cashier — a small booth located near the entrance in a courtyard-like area.

The actual bill, including a 15% service charge, was 120,000, far less than what he claimed. An employee trying to scam tourists like this completely ruins the experience.

If you still choose to dine here, make sure to remember the prices of what you ordered and never hand over your cash or card to anyone.

As for the food, the salad was good, but the other two dishes I ordered were not...

Been there on 5/23/2022.Very nice ambience, easy to find location. I experienced personalized service, the waitress despite language barrier, was very communicative with her expressions and voice modulation, that made me select the dishes, you can even walk to the courtyard and point to the Kebabs you would like to have. This is known for fish, though fish is not my favorite food, but I ordered, it was some kind of carp, it was done very well and did not disappoint, but the Shurpa was outstanding, kebabs were outstanding. Over all to have authentic Uzbek food, you would not go wrong and can boast intelligently that you had true Uzbek cuisine when you were in Tashkent. Overall, fantastic...

Labi hovuz cafe which is located near Marriott hotel. The building is beautiful with national ornaments good place to meet with friends etc. The food is delicious kebabs, shurpa, samosa are delicious. Not great salads once I ordered greek salad and I didn't like it. 1st the size is really small rather than other places all salads are small but the price is the same with bigger ones. Service is super slow the place urgently needs really good manager. Waiters are not so welcoming! And often waiters don't know which food is yes and not.
