We booked this hotel after it was recommended from a family member who stayed here few years ago. I will break this review down into sections so it helps. We are still at the hotel and check out on Monday 30th December 2024.
We checked in on Tuesday 24th December 2024. We are a family of 6 travelling, with 3 rooms booked (2 rooms which are connecting via balcony and a separate room).
Rooms / Reservations Our two rooms which are connecting via balcony states on their website it sleeps up to 8 people but doesn’t state anything else relating to additional charges. We emailed the hotel directly back in October 2024. The reservation team were fully aware of the number of guest and how many rooms we needed. There was a number of emails going back and forth to clarify information as what we were asking was getting missed so had to ask again. Once we got to the finishing line we booked our 3 rooms. A week before our check in we had another email telling us we had to pay an additional $50 a day (total $300) for an additional bed for our 7 year old daughter. This was a shock to us as the hotel knew how many guest were checking in. At the time we accepted because we didn’t want to be in a position without a hotel. This was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable for the hotel to do this a week before our arrival and left us in a position we had to accept. Their website has conflicting information to what the reservation team will tell you.
Check in This was hectic as whilst we were checking in, the hotel was setting up for the Christmas carol concert that evening which was being held in the reception area. There was a lot of noise with sound checks etc and meant that we couldn’t even have a discussion with the hotel staff without interruption. On arrival we went from a sofa to the Christmas Desk to the front desk to get checked in. This process should have been seamless with guests taken to one location. We were served a fresh dragon fruit juice which was very nice and presented in such a way. I was asked for my credit card to confirm the booking and for a deposit. I handed my credit card as we had already paid for the rooms up front. The “additional bed cost” was also charged to my credit card without being told. I told the person to refund this payment as I would be charged credit card fees and I will pay this cash. This was corrected eventually, the conversion about the additional cost of the bed couldn’t be had as it was too hectic and till now I don’t believe I should have been charged this as the hotel had me over a barrel with this. Different circumstances I would have not stayed at this hotel out of principle. The lady at the front desk (her name means Flower) was very polite and professional. Once again there was too much noise for me to discuss the additional cost with her.
I will say that everyone at this hotel is very polite and professional. They will say hello and acknowledge you and your family. During our stay we saw 2 of the managers on most days (in white shirts) Mr Edwin every time he saw us he would always smile and say hello. This was nice and the kids loved it. I would say that majority of the staff knew us which was nice and made the stay special.
Everything mentioned above is facilities which myself and my family used. There is no evening entertainment for families which could add value and attract customers during off peak seasons. The hotel grounds are very clean and beautiful. Would I come back to this hotel.. Yes would I recommend this hotel… Yes but they are not prepared for keeping guests entertained in the evening and during the rain when there is limited things you can do in Da Nang which is not outdoors.

Feeling of being cheated As mentioned many times per Email and with providing the screen shots of both the offer and the booking, I can confirm you by sure that my feeling of being cheated is unchanged: I used only my phone for looking an offer and booking the residents for our stay. From the screen shots it stated clearly on the left corner, in bold green letters: including breakfast. The price was 3.058€ I booked this offer almost at the same, paid 3.070€ and was really surprised after receiving the answer of your booking team that it is not included breakfasts As an experienced tourist (I) and room provider (You) both you and I know well that the difference of booking with breakfast and without breakfast is always almost 200€. Therefore it is nearly impossible that I made here mistake of clicking on the offer without breakfast because I paid the price which stated on the offer incl. breakfast. I asked for Agoda many times but only one answer: the booking is not incl. breakfast! I felt cheated.
As a business owner, if you let someone using your name or under your name selling your room and your customers get disadvantage or being cheated, you should stay on your customer side. Instead you sent us only sample email and confirmed only what Agoda confirmed, like a machine and decline all responsibilities involved. If one look at on the screenshots of the offer, it’s a price and compare it with my booking (which I made at the same time) he will see the abnormality: I paid the same amount of money right after the offer appeared, why my booking has no breakfast as the offer? Furthermore as reminding, you sold rooms not shares or exchange rate! I paid nearly 3.000€ for a resident or holiday it is not worth me for claiming about breakfast or without breakfast. Only the feeling of being cheated and not well-treated asked me to do that. And as I said, with the evidences of screenshot, I submitted the case to PayPal and my lawyer for further legal handling to get my right.
„Mature Behaviour and Business Standards in F&B“ As I mentioned in (1), I submitted the case to my lawyer and PayPal. Before the final legal decision comes out, please be respectful not to assure that the booking was made by my mistake. I have evidences myself and so does Agoda.
In Germany, we are educated: if problem comes, we communicate on a factual/legal level, do not insult or swear the education level, the wealthiness and the personality of someone IN PERSON. The words „highly immature“; „not 5“ or „ in an appropriate educated manner“, „not gentlemen style“, which you are using towards customer, are beyond the border of all behaviors. What does 5 actually stand for, how is it important, and should we need it like this?

With its great reputation, I had high hopes for a wonderful family vacation. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing and uncomfortable, and I am writing this review to help other potential guests. The Problem Started on Day One The issues began on our very first day. Every time I took a shower, my entire body became itchy, and as you can see in the photo, I developed a rash and symptoms of dermatitis. At first, I thought it was just temporary fatigue from the long journey. However, as the symptoms repeated and worsened with every shower, I knew it wasn't just a personal issue. To be sure, I bought and installed a shower filter myself. The result was shocking and hard to believe. The brand-new, pure white filter turned completely black after just two showers. The contamination was so severe that it became entirely clogged, and water stopped flowing through it. The fact that I had been showering every day with water so polluted that a filter couldn't purify it was a huge shock. Because of this water quality problem, I suffered from dermatitis for my entire vacation and couldn't fully enjoy my time. Unprofessional Staff and Deceptive Behavior What was even more frustrating was the hotel’s unhelpful attitude and a string of lies. When I brought up the issue, they claimed to have a water quality certificate from a test done six months ago and insisted the problem was just a one-day occurrence. However, other guests' reviews online report the exact same issue, a fact they had no answer for. When I requested a refund, they simply stated it was impossible since I had booked through Agoda. They offered a 50% discount on meals and a free car service, neither of which were useful to me at all given the situation. The most infuriating part was their blatant dishonesty. Initially, they told me a late checkout was impossible because the hotel was fully booked the previous day. Yet, when I pressed the issue, they suddenly changed their tune and offered it. This deceitful behavior was insulting. To make matters worse, I had tried to contact the front desk in the early morning the day before, and the phone went unanswered for over 30 minutes. There was no apology or explanation for this lapse in service, which is completely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. Health and Safety Must Be the Priority It's deeply disappointing and enraging that a 5-star resort, famous for its beautiful scenery and excellent service, failed to meet such basic hygiene and safety standards. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of guests. This problem is a clear case of negligence on the part of the resort, and I believe they must be held accountable. While the staff did their best, this unfortunate experience will continue to happen without a fundamental solution.
