This a small property with 8 rooms. It shares the same view as Sapa Clay House (right above on a higher ground) but at a fraction of the price. Unfortunately our rooms (Buffalo and Corn House) have partial views blocked by the huts in front. Nevertheless you can always go up to the main house to enjoy the full view. Main house is on beautiful garden grounds with a viewing platform to catch the views and sunset. Vuong has been helpful and hospitable throughout our stay. We booked everything (trekking, meals and transport to Hanoi) through him, all reasonably priced.
We had a strange encounter though for our private transport from Sapa to Hanoi. As we near Hanoi, the driver stopped suddenly by the side of road and 2 men, whom we saw at Rosie House earlier before our departure, appeared from nowhere and proceeded to re-arrange our luggage at the trunk. It turned out they were trying to catch a ride with us and so was making space to sit at the back. We are not sure who made this side deal but this was not discussed with us. We turned away the 2 men telling them this is a private car we booked for ourselves to Hanoi. They walked away without much fuss fortunately. All would have been great except for this...
Read morePeaceful stay above the terraced rice hills…if this isn’t your thing I’d certainly encourage you to give it a go! Wish we had more time to call our cute little bungalow home for a few more days. No TV but excellent 5G coverage in the bungalow and reception/restaurant. Rosie’s is an Eco Lodge, not a five star hotel. The eggs you’re having for breakfast each morning as well as the Pho Ga (Chicken Rice Noodle Soup) have been grown just up the road! Breakfast was included and as abundant as you liked!! The Bungalow itself had an excellent firm king size bed with Hmong decorative pieces throughout. Basics such as a kettle & tea/coffee making facilities and storage all perfectly fine for us. Modern and clean bathroom with rain shower rosette was also lovely. No fridge per se but we were able to use the restaurant fridge to store perishables. Ice was provided for drinks on the sweet little balcony too. Scott our host and his whole team gave excellent service and couldn’t do enough for us, including lugging my big bag down steps due to an injury. I crave serenity in nature and Rosie’s has it at every turn. $7AUD taxi ride from the bright lights of Sapa then back to serenity! Booking again for next...
Read moreHello everyone, I'm a tour guide in SaPa. I'm a tour guide for SaPa Rosie House. I left my motorbike in front of Rosie House's yard. They took my car and broke it and scratched my car. I turned around and asked. None of them admitted it, but they scolded me and made it difficult for me. Before anyone who wanted to enter Rosie House, they had to think and be careful before entering whether they should enter or not. Please other tourists coming to SaPa go to Rosie House, do not buy a tour at Rosie House because they sell tours to guests at the price of one person, they force guests to pay 45$ per person per day, they told them. The money they collect from guests is to support their tour guides and local people in other villages, but in reality they only collect that money so they can marry us. work as a tour guide for them, they only pay us 300 thousand per day, but they force us to travel at least 15km or more in that one day but they don't care about us and make it difficult for the tour guide. our tour guide too. Please everyone coming to SaPa do not enter SaPa...
