I just had my honeymoon in DALAT and It was also my first time visiting Vietnam. I thoroughly enjoy the cool weather, low pollution from the hustle and bustle from the city and also the tranquil and serene surroundings of the quiet and beautiful city.
I was glad I picked Le House Dalat as my accommodation. It's very convenient as it's situated very near to all the main tourist attractions, i.e 10 mins drive to Robin Hill cable Car, 15 mins drive to Datlana Waterfall and 5 minutes' drive to the city and the lake.
The staffs are also very friendly and helpful and seeing they are able to communicate in English fairly well, most of our queries were able to be answered very clearly by them.
We need to especially thank Miss Quinn Phan Hue Quyen. She really helped us in providing useful information and places of interest to visit, and not those overhyped social media, Instagram-mable places. In fact, she recommended us a beautiful cloud hunting place in Dalat and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. In addition, transportation was also arranged by her and it made our trip really smooth, easy and stress-free. She's also well versed in both English and Mandarin, this made communication so much easier. To the management of Le House Dalat, she's truly a gem that should be treasured!
The room is also very clean and housekeeping is always very prompt and on time. When we are back from our adventures late in the morning, the room has been cleaned thoroughly.
If I were to nitpick anything negative, it would be the rather poor soundproofing from the walls and glass door of the balcony. Eventhough the place is very quiet at night, but comes morning, we would be disturbed by the honking and also engine of motorbike or cars.
If Le House can improve on the soundproofing, it would be a perfect 5/5 for us. I am giving this a...
Read moreI recently stayed at Le House Hotel in Da Lat and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' drive from the city centre, and while the room design is commendable—with a luxurious bathroom and spacious layout—the experience was severely marred by several issues.
Firstly, the soundproofing advertised in the hotel’s description is virtually non-existent. We could hear constant traffic noise from outside, particularly the sound of cars beeping, as well as noise from adjacent rooms, which was very disruptive.
We paid extra for a room with a balcony, expecting a space where we could relax, but the balcony was only 50cm deep, barely enough room to stand on, which was disappointing.
The breakfast service was probably the worst aspect of our stay. The limited menu consisted of only two types of soup, with the option to order an omelette. However, if you wanted anything else, communication was impossible as none of the staff spoke English. There were no Western breakfast options available, which might be important for some travellers.
The staff seemed untrained and lacked basic customer service skills. On our first morning, we were abruptly woken up by loud noises from a cleaner's trolley being dragged along the corridor, followed by a loud conversation between the cleaners that lasted for 30 minutes. Any chance of sleeping in was lost. Later that day, we found the staff on our floor, engrossed in their phones instead of attending to guests.
Additionally, the staff would smoke outside the hotel, and the smell somehow reached our room on the fourth floor, which was highly unpleasant.
Overall, the potential of Le House Hotel is overshadowed by poor management and a lack of attention to detail. I would not recommend staying here unless these issues...
Read more"A very bad experience. Never return and recommend. - My family stayed at Le last year and the service made me feel like family, but this time it was not the same. The staff were very perfunctory with customers, from the reception, not worthy of being a 5-star hotel. - The bellman was not enthusiastic and seemed annoyed when asked for help. - The female receptionist (management level) spoke very unpleasantly with customers and handled problems very poorly, seemingly lacking professionalism in high-end hotel service. The peak was when our family group of 4 rooms was treated like we were being investigated because of some dirty towels, and she even yelled at my family to pay 400,000 VND to compensate her, looking at us with hostile eyes (the female receptionist at management level). - I thought that since you knew we were loyal customers who came back to support Le, you could have supported us on those small things, considering we stayed in 4 rooms at a high price, but the way the female receptionist at a high level spoke was like an unprofessional person. - Breakfast was too monotonous compared to last year, the food was cold, and when we asked to change it, the kitchen staff had a bad attitude towards customers (2 customers sitting next to us left their noodle bowls and went out to eat). - The room was still beautiful and clean, that's the only plus point. - I wonder if the investor of Le cares about the hotel? When unprofessional individuals are allowed to operate it? (Bad from staff to management). - My family will never come back because of the very negative attitude, we don't need the money of these people. Although we really liked the architecture and previous service of Le. - I hope the investor will read and change to make Le better, not decline like...
