I arrived at 6pm and they told me they had given away my room to a walk-in guest earlier at 3pm. I was really shocked. I can speak both English and Vietnamese and they said it was summer high season so they needed to make money. What on Earth? I've never heard of a place where they weren't even accidentally overbooked, they just gave your room reservation away to a walk-in. They said they tried to call me, but I didn't receive any calls. I didn't receive any emails or messages and I showed them my phone. I received an email confirmation from booking.com the night before so I thought it was all set so it was very stressful to arrive at night and not have a place to stay. Especially in a foreign country, and after a day of traveling. I can't imagine how it would be for people traveling with a family or who don't want to deal with huge travel issues like this at the last minute. I'm also in disbelief because a few hours later I got an email they told booking.com I was a no-show, when I totally showed up and they turned me away. Luckily booking.com dealt with it professionally so I won't get charged. This place didn't even offer to help me find another place to stay for the night. I cannot recommend this place based on how much they screwed up my plans. All the reviews praised their hospitality and I believe the reviewers and wish I got that experience, but if they decided on this as a business practice, be aware they may just randomly give your room away too. I just checked and there's at least one other review by someone named Trang in vietnamese where they also gave away his room reservation. There's so many lovely homestays in Vietnam where they're well run AND you'll be taken care of. Another note, another reviewer was right, the multiple cats they have in this small homestay means it does smell like cats in the lobby (maybe it's better in the rooms) so if you have a sensitive nose, this isn't it. It's not overly strong so you may or may...

Why, when you could easily book one of the many other great value...

It's a bit small, so I don't think it's suitable for old or disabled (wheelchair) people. It's perfect If you travel single or in a group. The beds are hard!👌lockers available. the owner speaks some English....
