Lakeview Residence Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

I booked this hotel for one night, but I checked out after 7 PM because I saw a large insect running twice under the bed. I’m very scared of insects, so after that I couldn’t stay or sleep in the room anymore. I asked for a partial refund, but they refused, saying they needed proof. But when I saw the insect, I screamed — taking a photo was the last thing on my mind.They offered to change the room and gave me a free minibar, but I declined because I didn’t feel comfortable staying there anymore. The staff were kind and tried to help, but it seemed like the owner refused any kind of refund or real solution.Also, the hotel looks much older and more worn out than it does in the photos. It feels like it hasn’t really been operating properly since 2024 — the reception area looks completely different from the pictures, like it’s still unfinished or under renovation.Because of this situation, I had to spend extra money on a different hotel and a taxi late in the evening, which was very frustrating and...

Let me start off with the view. Amazing view of the lake. We were on the 5th floor and loved waking up to the lake view every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good with many cafes nearby etc. we liked how the room looked. Now for the problems. The sewer smell coming from the drains is unbearable and fills the whole room. The 1st night we suffered. When we complained they blocked the drains which helped a little bit but the smell was still coming through. We had to buy a scented candle to help with the smell. There is no exhaust or ventilation system in the bathroom, so i think that is the problem. Also you can here noises from the road in the room, there are ppl working out to loud music at like 6am by the lake walk. So if you are a light sleeper that can be an issue. If you take the standard room, and if you are on the first floors be ready to not sleep. There’s always so much noise or from the city, or the courtyard. I was in the second floor and was waken up everyday by grandpas standing in the courtyard at 7:30 AM yelling in their language. That was a nightmare. The staff was kind enough to put me on the 7th floor after I complained and I slept a little bit better even though there was always a sound to bother you.
