We found this place through another homestay that didn't have room for us and we are so glad that we did. This really taught us how a good host and good hospitality can really make the experience.
It's a homestay run by a big expanded family with a lot of cute children and very very nice people. The value for money is incredible! For a very good price you get a room, breakfast, free water and free bicycle (bicycles are local though, no gears and very light).
For 100k you get an incredible dinner+ happy water with a huge variety of delicious dishes and you can eat until you explode.
The cheap rooms has no AC, you can pay more to have AC (for us it was ok with a fan, it's pretty strong). They are pretty simple but also clean, the shared toilets are very clean as well.
The host is veryyy sweet, with perfect English, and does everything with a smile. We needed to move to a different homestay for one day and she let us keep leave our big bags and keep the bicycles even on a day we were not guests!!! She also helped us find a local bus to Hanoi and they gave us a ride early in the morning to the bus stop!
Honestly, we are so happy we found this homestay,...
Read moreI’m really sad to give this a low star review. The family is amazing and the food is just delicious. But room number 2 was not good. It is located in a beautiful place with nature and cute kids running around. As someone who has no problems sleeping in the forest in a sleeping bag, i wasn’t able to sleep for even 1h on their bad. The mattress is rock solid (you can literally knock on it) And it is made of bamboo that squeak and cracks loudly on every little movement. I was sure I’ll be able to sleep on anything but this was impossible. I ended up trying to sleep on the wooden bench outside. I talked with Hue and she told me they would look at it and try to fix it, also know that I have looked on the other rooms and it seems that the problem is only present on room number 2. So please notice if they wrote a reply to my review as they might have fixed that. The stay could easily be five star stay if the bed were more comfortable. I feel sorry to write such a review, because they were the best hosts I had so far, but it’s important so other travelers would be aware of what they are getting. So if you go there, just ask to see the room and look at the bed before...
Read moreI wish Google allowed a 6-star review for places that are exceptional, and this place would get it. I stayed in a private king room which did not have a balcony even though on booking.com it did, that was the only down side. The room was basic but did the job. That’s not what this reviews about. Huay (the owner) is the sweetest lady I’ve met in my couple months in Vietnam. Upon arriving on the bus she made a lovely family dinner that has plenty of vegetarian options. It’s not classified as a buffet but it basically was, very much worth the price. She also showed me all the spots to see in the area that night and helped me arrange a motorbike the next morning. She also has free pedal bikes to go explore the area! On my last morning I was running late to come back and check out. Upon arriving a few minutes late she told me no rush and allowed me to gather my things in a timely manner. So so kind! I would highly suggest this place for your stay in a nice and laid back town...
