Gem’s House – Riverside-View Balcony & Private Kitchen — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I stayed in Ho Chi Minh City for 3 weeks and tried different places, every time only 3-4 days (hotel, hostel, homestay) and this place was the most comfortable and the cleanest! I loved staying here so much I booked more days and stayed longer than intended (I was lucky the room wasn't booked because it's not the main tourist season haha). (you can hear a little sound from the traffic but you'll hear that everywhere near the river, you can get used to it) The host is super sweet and very good at English, it's easy to communicate with, always answers quickly. Kindly and patiently helps if you have a problem! Very warm and nice person. I'm very picky when it comes to place to stay but I loved staying here. We had a great time at Gem's House! The location near the river is beautiful, and the neighbourhood is rich in activities yet away from the franzy of the center. Many cafes, restaurants, shops, pagodes. The railtracks are nearby and you can follow them to a local market. The owners are extremely helpful and reactive in case of any problem. Speaks perfect english and even offered to help when we encountered difficulties booking a bus on our way there. You can wash your cloths downstairs for a good price. The women on site is lovely, and also very happy to help. Our room came with a kitchen, it was nice to have the possibility to cook something ourselves! I had a really pleasant stay here. The apartment felt very homey, with plenty of space, lots of natural light, and everything I needed - from the fully equipped kitchen to a comfortable bedroom and bathroom. I really enjoyed having my own private place without any interruptions. A great bonus was the projector with access to Netflix and YouTube - watching movies in the evening was such a cozy experience.
