My stay at The Friday in Ho Chi Minh City was fantastic. Trang, the owner, was incredibly lovely and helpful throughout my month-long stay. Her three adorable cats added a delightful touch to the experience.
The place is clean and provides everything you need at a super affordable price. The Wi-Fi is amazingly fast and stable, and the TV offers a wide variety of programs, including Netflix. The laundry service is a steal at just nearly $2 per kilogram, and your clothes come back smelling great.
The only thing to be aware of is that there's no elevator, so you'll need to carry your suitcases up the stairs. However, I stayed on the first floor, so it wasn't much of an issue for me.
The location is ideal, with easy access to everywhere you need to go. It's a short distance from the famous Bui Vien nightlife street, yet remarkably quiet at night for peaceful sleep. There are numerous fantastic restaurants within walking distance, offering a wide range of culinary delights. Plus, there's a local street food vendor just a few steps away that's open until 2 AM if you need a late-night snack.
As an unexpected bonus, there's a currency exchange shop just 50 feet away from the place that offers better rates than the airport. Additionally, it's conveniently close to a bus station, making it easy to access other tourist cities and facilitating my travel plans.
I'm so glad I found The Friday. It's truly a hidden gem with a warm host and cute feline companions, making it a wonderful place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. I highly recommend it and will definitely return on...
Read moremy new favorite lodging in Saigon. I have been traveling to Saigon for many years, this lodging is the best combination of price, tranquility, service, room quality, and walkability to the bui vien night life. Many local street food vendors just outside the hotel means you are just steps away from authentic affordable Vietnamese street food and beverages. Some restauraunt within the alley also. The smart TV also has Netflix ! Wifi is fast, no dropped signals. The manager was very kind, responded quick, greeted me at check in, and let me store my bags when i took a 3-day side trip to phu quốc. I will return 100%. No noise can be heard at night, you will sleep like a baby. Motor bikes can drive directly to the door, car-taxi will drop you off at the entrance to the alley, which is about 100 ft from the homestay (30 sec....
Read moreWe stayed here for 4 nights and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Saigon! The room was super spacious, had a small balcony, two tables, a big comfy bed, and even two sinks (one outside the bathroom).
It’s located in an alley near Bui Vien Street—quiet, but close to cheap and yummy food, a 7/11, grocery, and pharmacy. Not exactly walking distance to tourist spots, but Grab is super cheap and easy to use.
Only issue was the aircon not working on our first night (we arrived at 2AM), but Trang got it fixed the next morning. No elevator though since its only 4 floors, so be ready for some stairs.
Bonus: Trang let us leave our luggage for free while we waited for our evening flight after coming from Cambodia!
Overall, we had a great stay and hope more people...
