Pharaon Hotel 2 — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Booked here for 3 nights on agoda, we emailed and tried to call the hotel multiple times to confirm we wanted jungle 502 however never had any response. Upon arrival to the hotel he said he never received any email and only had the Chinese room left and we could check into jungle the next day which we did. The chinese room was really nice, the bed was so comfy, bathroom was lovely and had good amenities in the room. Only downside was that the hot tub water was lukewarm, we had to boil the kettle 3 times to get hot water and the water also leaked out of the hot tub. Netflix on the TV was great. Next morning we checked into jungle room which had a smaller bed however still comfy, the hot tub water was still lukewarm and whenever wr wanted to use it we would have too get staff in to sort the water out who were always happy to do so. The hotel is located in an alley way, which has 7/11 at the end of it. You are quite a far walk from any of the main bits to do however the hotel was really nice for relaxing and we did enjoy our stay. Upon check out the women at reception didn’t even ask us how we enjoyed our stay and personally the customer service for me wasn’t on par from her. I booked the room (king deluxe) in advance on Agoda for $35. When booking the room, I requested a (large) square bed as opposed to the circular beds they have (both shown in the pictures under the king deluxe room type). Upon check-in, the room they gave us had a circular bed. I went back down to the front desk and inquired why I couldn't have the room I booked. The impersonel desk girl advised I would have to pay more to the tune of $50 more. This was obviously an attempt at a scam to which I argued. It wasn't until I stated I would just leave and contest the pre-paid charge with my credit card that she gave me the room I initially requested. Now to the room. It was really small, dirty and tired looking. There was some wet substance on the "love" couch. The sheets had a hole in them, and the blinds were bent and mangled. If I hadn't been so tired from flying, I would have checked out and went somewhere else. Due to their uncaring staff and poor condition of this motel, I would definitely not recommend...

I booked “galaxy room 204” this afternoon and the bath tub was leaking from before, the staff knew the issue but doesn’t tell me about it. I get in and unpack stuff while waiting for the tub fill up with half. Then I get in and experience the leaking from the draining hole. I was asking them to change the room and they ok with that but not reset the renting time. On the second room (Neon 303), there a lot of mosquitoes and i can’t stay any longer.
