I have stayed twice in the hotel already, but I am not sure if I will come back. First time in September 2023 - in what is called apartment. The first experience was quite good. Apartment was really spacious, clean and nice. I was surprised though that despite the info on booking, the kitchen had only fridge, sink and kettle. There were no stove or plate or even a cup. But as we had breakfasts - quite nice and tasty in the form of buffet - it was ok. Our second stay was quite different. We stayed in a main building. The room itself was quite small, but very clean and looks very nice. BUT the curtain in the bathroom was sooo dirty with mould - you cannot image. Disgusting :( We went to the reception and ask to clean or replace it - they just took it off and we haven't had a curtain ever since. The rest of the bathroom was quite clean - and the room was cleaned every day. We had a fridge in the room with a small freezer, but first thing that we had to do when we arrived was to defrost the fridge as the freezer was completely covered with ice - we could not even open it. And when you are in Vietnam, you might want to keep some ice cubes in your freezer for drinks (we do), so it took us some hours of waiting and cleaning the floor from the water to have the freezer operating and ready to use. The last thing that went wrong were breakfast. For the first few days we had the buffet with quite a large amount of veggies which we love. Unfortunately the situation changed one day and they started giving 'ala carte. Not only you did not have the multiple options like before - and really there were multiple before - but also quite weak - almost no veggies. You could choose Pho soup (without veggies - usually in local eateries or restaurants you get a lot of veggies and here you got nothing!), fried eggs with literally 3-4 slices of tomato and 3-4 slices of cucumber or a porridge. We went to receptions and asked if they can give more veggies at least, explained that the poor (paid!) version of breakfast is not what we expected, as before we had here multiple options. They said ok, the info will be passed to the management, but till our last day it has not changed. It is very weak strategy. Giving you nice breakfast for a half of your stay and a very poor one for the rest - bad experiance really. Their explanation was that there were less guests, so they changed the version but in my opinion even changing the version should not make it as poor as it was. And there is always simple way when you have less guests: prepare smaller portions and keep the buffet. Generally I liked the hotel, as it is clean, but I am not sure if we will stay...
Read moreWe rented an apartment in the next building. Beautiful, spacious and clean room. A lot of things are thought out for a long stay. The only thing that upset me was that there was no stove. After all, apartments imply a kitchen. There was a kitchen with a microwave, a kettle, a large refrigerator. There were no mugs, 2 plates. There were no instruments either. In the hotel itself, I liked the design of everything, in the style of Provence. The pool is small overlooking the neighboring buildings and you can see a small piece of the sea and the promenade. The sunbeds are dirty, they did not lie down. The water in the pool is not perfectly clean, but you can swim. The staff is very responsive, helped with all questions. In the room there is a huge TV with YouTube and applications. We booked without breakfast. But breakfast can be bought for VND 70 per person. The buffet is very small and vegetarian. There is a place where an employee prepares scrambled eggs, but he was constantly not there. On the other hand, other employees were constantly sitting in the guest area, chatting loudly, or just staring at you while you were eating. It's an unpleasant feeling. The tables and chairs in the dining room are uncomfortable. I don't...
Read moreThey are listed as a Vietnamese 3-Star hotel but I've stayed in worse 4-Star Vietnamese rated hotels. Their front desk has proved efficient and organised a motorbike for hire at a very reasonable rate, with no fuss at all.
I stayed during their off-season, so the pool area was unattended, but looked like a relaxing summer spot.
The rooms have been comfortable and while even their seaview rooms are hindered by the Novatel in from of them, the higher floor seaview rooms do have a view to the sea.
My New Year stay was accompanied by local festivities which consisted largely of a Heineken promotional stand with live music performances and entertainment. It would have been ideal in most circumstances apart from their subwoofer, that created every window to act as a personal bass drum, while in operation. Fortunately this is temporary and did have a curfew time to stop.
I would definitely...
